Thought i would put this in here where it might help someone else... I somehow managed to crossthread my Don today (in Minidon mode) it would turn a bit one way and the other, but only a cm or so...i tried working some vaseline into the threads that were visible, then work it back & forth - no go.. tried rubber gloves for grip...nope tried putting it down and swearing to myself while i fixed the dogs dinner....nope, didn't work either... i then put it in the freezer for 10 mins, then tried again....still stuck then, the brainwave......i soaked a cloth in really hot water, wrung it out and wrapped it around the top half, thinking if the other half was still cold, it might have contracted just a bit, and if the other half was to expand just a smidgen.. it worked!!!!!! the threads are now cleaned and smeared with vaseline, so hopefully it wont happen again...

The easy answer to that was brute force and ignorance! We wrapped the GG in a few layers of electrical tape to protect it from damage and then (here's the clever bit) we wrapped the crossed threaded cap with sandpaper (grit side onto the tape). This gives plenty of grip so we then simply applied some brute force and twisted it off by hand. Hot and cold would have been our next option... Sean

Nice, Sean...not having any men around at that time tho, brute force wasn't an option, and 'Lady force' wasn't enough another option for any of us with a well stuck mod, thanks
