What's happened to my beloved Doppio Espresso?

I've always enjoyed Doppio Espresso Caffeinated, and often recommend it to anyone asking about coffee juice. Just recently something strange is happening

The bottles I've had up to now have been a pale, light pink colour like this



However, the last bottle I ordered from Jay at Vapourjuice was a bright straw yellow colour, and was very harsh on my throat



I contacted Jay and he kindly offered to send a new bottle from a new batch free of charge. When this one came, it was still yellow but this time it was opaque and after standing 24 hours it has a white sediment in the bottom



Thinking there might be a problem Jay's end I decided to order a bottle from Liberty Flights. This one came this morning and looks like alemon curd



What's going on ??? Anyone else had similar experiences?? >

I've noticed a difference in colour between bottles before but never had any sediment and it's always tasted fine to me

Have yours always been clear Karma, or have you had these opaque ones too?

They've never been opaque oneday, but some are a lot lighter coloured than others

I ordered a couple of samples of this from DV direct and it looked just like the bottom picture.

My last bottle from VapourJuice was about 3 weeks ago, looked just like your first picture.
I am now mixing my own, using the DV espresso from Liberty Flights. The pure flavour is white, thick and cloudy, but when mixed and steeped it is almost clear - slight white cloud.

I've had a bottle of DE from VapourJuice which started off quite white and thick and opaque, and over time it seemed to thin out, became transparent, and eventually took on more of a deep red colour.

(EDIT: Oh, and I've also had some bottles of DE from ecigwizard's DV range, and they all started out quite thick and white and cloudy. I think they are gradually thinning out, though. Its hard to tell with the one I'm using, because I shake it quite often, but with the others that are standing for long periods, I've noticed the liquid separates out into a thick white stuff and a thinner red layer on top.)

The expresso does not have the extra caffeine added to it though. It's the caffeine that makes it cloudy. I had the same on one of the other juices that had caffeine in it. I think it was blue cow or similar. It was so cloudy it used to leave a foam on top of the filler in a cartomizer.

Colouring can be slightly different between batches though.

Thanks for that Steve. I don't know if I actually need or want the caffeine, but any idea how I'd go about it if I did? (I'm currently trying to vape juices without VG in them).

You can get the concentrates here

If you check the list they have Expresso and Doppio Expresso. It shows you which have the caffeine in. You may want to check with them though as the Doppio Expresso concentrate does not list caffeine next to the name. I didn't buy the concentrate, just the ready mix and that is really cloudy.

Slightly off topic but I've got 2 x 20ml bottles of Doppio DECAFF if anyone wants them. They're 8mg nic. I dont want anything for them, the coffee flavour is too strong for my unsophisticated taste.

My Cappuccino from Vaperjuice used to look not unlike your first picture.. The new bottle is the colour of chocolate ??

Doesn't taste the same either...

My DIY DE looks like milk, but mixes clear, then a little shake before use clears settling

Can't recall if you mix Julie? Easily tone the coffee down if you do, if you don't you could just as easy mix premades, Caramel, Vanilla, Chocolate, nuts, butterscotch, have a go anyway, you get the idea.
