I have been wondering since I got my VAMO about what causes burn taste and can we rule anything out. I have a clone Vivi Nova with short wicks. Now even though I am always giving it a swish, I was still getting a burn taste occasionally. To try and get round it, I cut a length of wick from the spares box and simply laid it on top of the wick and coil that was already in the Vivi, it`s not a new remedy. After a bit of a soak I tried it again. No more burn taste and can push another watt and a half through it without any ill effects. More vapor for sure, maybe a touch more flavour, cant swear to that. What do you think guys ???

Is it the original wick? I've had mixed results sitting extra wick on top of a coil. Mostly good though...

I only use long wicks. The more power you are using uses more liquid from the wick. So if the wick isn't kept wet the more chance you have of dry hit. I use mini nova and ce5 double wick and haven't had any problems with them

It`s interesting, the liquid must have a boiling point, so if you are shifting it before the wick can replenish, it`s gonna burn. Give it more liquid and it doesnt.

I suppose I am kinda thinking that even if you give it the full 6V, it isnt going to burn if the wick is efficient enough to keep up.

Get enough juice to the coil and you can vape at any wattage, if you can that is.. It's just a mini fog machine..For your next trick try the 400 watt Bammo..

So really, it is wicking performance when it comes down to it. All you are doing is boiling the liquid on the coil.

I did have to cut a bit off the silicone away as it looked a bit tight on the two wicks I kept getting burning/dry hits off my clone from the first hour of vaping it non-VV.
