What train station do most of you travellers use when you get into London ? Liverpool Street for me and any others that come along with me. Personally think the London Bridge venue was ok, at least we were all able to be together and chat.

OK............I have to say it..........Those 1st 3 venues in Soho were a nightmare..........I was ready to head back home in all honesty.....Far too crowded...Impossible to talk or get a drink, let alone food & nowhere to sit & any pub is going to be like that in that area on a saturday night, particularly if the next one is on a bank holiday. Unfortunately, for health reasons, both physically & mentally, I couldn't handle a venue like that for a whole evening. Bearing that in mind, providing it's near a train station of any description, it doesn't matter to me where it is......Sorry, but it needed to be said.

Victoria or London Bridge for me - and I agree, being able to sit down and hold a conversation at a reasonable volume is very important, as are ground level loos! Food would be an added bonus, but - for me - is not essential as there's usually somewhere to eat close by when in London. It goes without saying that it should be a place that allows vaping! I'm racking my brains trying to think of somewhere suitable from the days when I used to work in London, but chances are if I did think of anywhere it wouldn't be there any more!
I really do appreciate the efforts of those who are actively searching for a venue - it's not easy, and I wish I could help!

I agree Chris, what made it worse was having gone up there two weeks in a row,the first one trudging around in pouring rain, but wont be making that mistake again,I think we have two things that always need to be put first, that is the numbers we seem to attract is much higher than initially I would have expected and that we need to cater for everyone.young, old, disabled or with any difficulties, also we are covering a large area, will get there though, again thanks for everyone that has made this possible and hopefully we can look back on this with a smile.

It's definitely shaping up alan, thanks to your & elfish's efforts, which are greatly appreciated & I didn't mean anything derogatory with my comments. Thanks for the organisation & I for one will show my appreciation should my tongue & your ear get within close proximity of each other........

When I get home I will have a look at the mainline and tube map to see what areas will make it easiest for travellers.Trouble is finding pubs that allow us to vape

Am i on my own with the London Bridge venue?
I know Ash liked the post ;-)
Involves a little travel for even us boys.
Think the Leadenhall Market and Fenchurch Street options i mentioned previously may be out of the equation as they don't really do Saturday nights as they are City pubs.
Apologies for the false hope :-(
Will perservere though

Apologies for a double post Perhaps i am looking through rose tinted glasses with regards to the London Bridge venue as it was first class and met so many nice people and was excellently organised by Alan. Sure there must be many other venues out there, unfotunately due to working full time i cannot give this the time it deserves to be fully explored myself. These days there must be pubs queing up for 25+ strange people ;-) paying an average of a tenner, if not more, a head on drinks. I suppose we need to keep Chrisjw on a tight leash and promise he will not lick other punters ears!! Tough call for any landlord!!
