Bleeding gums is also a sign of better circulation. Normal smoke reduces blood and oxygen to gums. They can suddenly start to bleed a lot when you stop smoking, sometimes the smoke can be masking an issue. Hopefully they will calm down over time.

Old school of thinking im afraid, Coffee does not dehydrate you. Only if consumed in very high doses.

I find after a year of vaping I'm still chewing chunks of skin from inside my mouth! It's ok first thing in the morning, the skin in your mouth recovers fast, but by the end of the day I'm picking bits off again. Sounds grim, but that's better than smokes. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

After three weeks, the side effects I'm experiencing that are specifically vap related, as opposed to due to giving up tobacco, are a dry cough, severe at times and very dry lips. As far as I can gather this is due to the PG content in the juices (all mine are 50/50), so I'll get some 30/70 and 100% VG liquids and see if that helps. In the meantime I've found that gargling with mouthwash or cough mixture helps the throat, as does frequent sips of water. Lip balm relieves the dry lips but nothing so far has stopped them drying. Other symptoms, such as mouth ulcers I put down to giving up smoking. Here's a couple of links I found useful (hope it's OK to link to another message board!): www.vaportalk.com/forum/topic/3130-vapor-cough-the-new-smokers-cough/#entry25045www.v2cigs.com/blog/2012/01/symptoms-you-may-experience-when-you-start-using-electronic-cigarettes/Oh, and I drink less coffee, it's not good for sour throats.

a few things i've thought in the past month:
1-make sure you have the right nicotine strength, otherwise your body may just be suffering a withhdrawl or even too much (esp if you feel a bit more of a normal nicotine high) 2-count how many puffs you have with a cigarette. An e-cig doesn't burn out, so it's tempting to keep doing 2 or 3 cigs' worth while you're talking to your friends or something! do a set amount or keep to a set time limit (ie my usual work smoke break does me) and stick to that
