Storing nic base in freezer

Have just realised that my glass nic base bottles fit nicely into an 18" cardboard postal tube.

Three in top to tail standing in the corner of the chest freezer, would also lay down if you have an upright

Why you put it in the freezer ? sorry for asking as I never hear this where is the best to store the Nic Base then?

For long term storage, more than 2 years

Ah ok but if not for that long I just keep mine in a safety cupboard. Does it require any room temperature ?

Current thinking is that if not refrigerated then it should be kept as cool as possible.

hi can I ask do you put it in the freezer at 72% or do you add pg down to say 18% then put it in freezer ? any help please

I wouldn't dilute it before freezing as it will take up more room.  If you are going to use it in less than a year there isn't any point in freezing it, a cool dark place will be fine

I have 1 li of 72% so all I do is put it in 100ml bottles and in the freezer up to now I only used just over 100ml in 8months so I will keep 100ml out & put the rest in thanks for your help karma

If they have plastic caps, I personally would avoid top/tailing them just in case the liquid reacts with the plastic over the extended period of time that they're going to be in there for.

Mine are fully erect in the freezer

Tell me about it. They didn't do very well traversing across any decent slope either (DAMHIKT) ... but the bloody rear shear pins on the tracks got my goat!! I always proffed as many as I could get my hands on before any extended period away from camp!!

WOW....You Brits sure like it cold...I'd have a heart attack...But seriously, I freeze 100ml nic in 100% pg base in my freezer...It never freezes. It just thickens up a bit...It's hot here in Georgia USA.....Big Cig companies are trying to pass laws that only allow them to dispense nicotine....That's why I stock up in my freezer....You never know where the winds of change are going to blow.......MONEY TALKS.......And I sure don't have much.
