@purple1234 - to find out what a 1.3 ohm coils will feel like with a brand new battery, stick your kayfun on your svd and turn it up to 13.5 watts. That's the start of a 1.3 ohm coil.

Tasty, huh!

Of course the battery wears down, and the power drops off. Turn it down to 9 watts - that's when you change the battery.

ionian hmmm I will need to buy a resistance meter as my SVD ( which I use to check coils) won't go that low.

Next purchase item on list.

@purple1234 - because the svd is vw, you can put any coil on there and set to the wattages above to get an idea of how it will taste with an unregulated mod at 1.3 ohms.

However, if you mean that the svd won't measure resistances down to 1.3 to try it for real, then yes, you will need something else to measure it. I can't remember what it measures to. Sigelei do an ohms meter (about £10 from cloud9), or pick up another vw device.

The svd measures down to 0.8 ohms. As for the 1.3 coil, it's pretty good, it must be because the 1.2 is perfection lol

Battery usage depends on how much sooking you do, more you sook, faster they run down but just keep a little plastic battery box with spares out and about.

I'll be doing a write up on the chimney coil I use and how I set up the wick, just need to get round to it.

10 wraps of .34mm kanthal on a 14 gauge blunt tip needle gives you exactly 1.2 ohms. The 14 gauge is 1.6mm width if you don't have one. Poop poop

Yes lower resistance coils will use the battery faster, a bit. and yes it is a bit like asking what sex is like try it and see.
