If you are carrying an extra Battery with you, in a Handbag or Pocket PUT IT IN A ZIPLOCK Bag (at least) or a Plastic Battery Case!!! Only buy Batteries from REPUTABLE Vendors check a few threads on here, I use Torchy but there are a few Battery Vendors who come with decent Feedback. This is a heads up for newer Vapers, as there have been a spate of Poor Quality, Forged Batteries around, which are DANGEROUS!! Take Precautions!!

Good advice keepitgoin - I've just ordered 4 x 18650 battery boxes from HK via eBay for £1.91 all in - cheap as chips and will keep all my batteries safe in storage and transit.

Got a couple of eFest purple 18500s for my Caravela yesterday evening, and they last a good time. Had one in from about 9pm last night and only changed it a couple of hours ago, although I've been in the garden most of the day so not vaping too much. They seem good to me!! 1000mah, and take about an hour to recharge which is good.

Geordie & Des are right, but a VERY important point I couldn't see covered is don't over discharge your batteries, this is where a kick is a little safer as it cuts out. Most batteries have a minimum level of 2.5 V (check your battery spec), but I would change them before they go below 3.5 V as they will drop much lower under load (firing your mod) and they have lost their potency by then. You may need a volt meter or tank-o-meter at first, but after you get used to the effect you can tell by your vape. If you are going below 1.5 ohm I would get a battery that can supply at least twice the safe current (amps) as the vape is better particularly as the battery runs down. Personally I like the Sony VTC4 30 A, it performs well, can be charged at 2 A and 2100 mha gives a reasonable charge time. Consider if you have a 3400 mah battery and a Nitecore i2 charger it takes over 8 hours to charge ( link) and you should not leave batteries charging unattended. edit: Over-discharging and over-charging are both potentially dangerous, don't panic, just don't try this at home.

Better than the old red versions and last just as long, if not slightly longer, than my AW 18490 when vaping a 1.3ohm KFL+ on a mech mod. They are a few mm longer than AW batteries though.

decoy10.5 amp limit at 4.2volts you'll be pulling just under 9 amps out of that battery and this kind of drain will run that battery down VERY quickly. At 4 volts 8 amps At 3.5 volts 7 amps An 18350 running a 0.5 ohm coil @700mah will not last for long. Why did I give you all those voltages? - because as you vape the battery voltage will drop, quickly. thanks for that Im not to bothered about carrying spare batts just want to keep whats in my hand as small as poss I don't really know what the advantage is of running such low ohm age and norm recoil at about 2 ,so was asking more as how large a safety gap I had if duel coiling sorry for the dumb questions but if something's gona go wrong im normally 1st in line I vape at 0.6 ohm dual coiled with those batteries. They usually last around 3/4 hours before the vape drops off, the 700mah is supposedly more like 850mah, I did see a chart somewhere, think it was Torchy the battery boy's ebay page. 0.5 is probably right on the limit, but 0.6 is a cracking flavoursome, warm vape so I don't go any lower.
