You won't blow it up, but a biscuit tin will be absolutely fine as suggested above if it gives you peace of mind for a charge or 2

You are not supposed to put them in metal though ??? Since when? Lol a biscuit tin Isnt a microwave lol Steve (VapeStorm) I have had a bad day, and a very long day, plus I have just got another aneurism, so I shouldn't really be on the net but I am. I don't know what direction to point you in, and I can't really search for you just now, but since I joined this site, don't let batteries come into contact with metal

sammy13 Your battery is encased inside a plastic tube. There's a small battery inside your ego, that's joined by 2 wires to the connector at the top. The battery itself is not in contact with any metal if you put it into a tin. The tin will just protect your table/carpet/etc from scorch marks in the (highly unlikely) event that it vents. Hope that makes sense? In short, don't worry, it's fine, get some rest and forget the bad day, it's a Bank holiday weekend after all

You're fine, it's an evod, there's no sticky out positive to make contact with anything. Pyrex isn't good as it can break badly then someone will have to make a tv series called breaking bad

And pyrex yes. Plastic, not so great as it will melt if the battery vents (although I highly doubt it will) [Edit: I thought pyrex was good under heat? Only experience is High School Chemistry though, could be completely wrong but I thought that's what test tubes/heating flasks were made of?]

Ok as odd as I may seem, I have a pyrex bowl, with a lid, that I have been charging batteries in.
Thankyou for all you help, it is greatly appreciated, I will not charge the battery until tomo though when( ok what day is tomo ) yes ok, I can watch it. Does this happen with all spinners/ twists? The top bit comes off?

So I figured - pyrex dish, withstands oven temps , pop battery in it, pyrex cover over top, sorted ???

It's a common issue with all ego style batteries. Just one of those things, the connector is usually pressed in rather than threaded so a bit of pressure can make it come apart.

Yep, one of mine that has been relegated to back up device did it. I just push the connector back in and it's fine. As others have said it's just pushed in not threaded and I'm not sure if they glue them, but if they do it isn't the strongest of glues. Mine came apart in my handbag so I think it is just a design flaw.

I guess but please advise is that the same then, if I buy a twist for £25 or a fastech vv for £10? I had a twist come apart on me at xmas, but binned it cos I was scarred to use it, today I had little choice and decided to go for it, but scared to charge it

My first fear is that it will explode, my second is that it will just die ( read too much daily mail lol )
