An oddity with VTR coupled with 30s clearomizer

Hi guys, I have found my first real strange happening with my innokin 30s tank. When I have a draw, mostly it is fine. But every 5th or 6th draw the drip tip gets quite hot. I have not experienced anything like this before. I have four other 30s tanks and it doesn't happen with them. My set up is as follows......

Innokin iTaste VTR set to 9.0 watts

Iclear 30s tank with a 2.2 coil which is three days old.

Misteliquid Gold and Silver 18mg.

This happens at all tank levels (so not too little in the tank)

I do not chain vape, Any thoughts good people?

The coil sits at the top of the cartridge. Above it is a silicone arrangement which the drip tip should fit snug onto.

Maybe somehow the heat from the coil is passing through this.... maybe it's damaged/a bit duff?

Gully could just be one of the coils on the head is badly made and you are getting hot spots, change the head and then see how it goes.

Cheers guys, I'll give it a go. I was going to try a different coil, but thought I'd ask on here first.
