Yay, I've just converted someone over to e-cigs At my husband's birthday party on Monday I met for the first time a lovely Spanish young lady, very outgoing personality and we clicked straight away. Of course I was using my e-cig, actually it was the VTR, which this lady (Nuria is her name) became extremely interested in and started asking me tons of questions whilst she was smoking away on an analogue. Anyway after talking for some considerable time about e-cigs and the fact that she keeps on trying to give up smoking without success I offered to sell her a small kit for a small sum of money, 2 batteries, charger and a little CE4 type clearo for 10 euros as a starter kit for her to try out and see how she got on with it. I offered to throw in a few mls of juice as well to get her started. She said she would think about it and get in touch. Well, today she contacted me and she's just left my house with her little starter kit. She said she's been telling many of her friends about the e-cigarettes and some of them are also interested in trying them out. The thing is all the hardware over here is sooooo expensive for them to buy, so I showed Nuria the fasttech site where the e-cigs could be got for a hell of a lot cheaper than the shops here and she said she will find out how many of her friends want a kit and then we could order some in from China for them to try out as well. I don't mind that, helping others to stop smoking is a good thing, so I don't mind taking a little bit of my time getting some small kits on order. I might even just pop a couple of cheapy kits in with my next order for times such as what just happened with Nuria. Well, you never know when you are going to meet someone who wants to try out an e-cig do you? And they are cheap enough on fasttech to be able to keep a couple ready in the cupboard for such times. Something like this www.fasttech.com/products/1/10004998/1687302-ego-evod-6-in-1-rechargeable-1100mah-starter-kit would cost over 50 euros in the shops to buy here. What a difference in price eh, less than 13 euros on FT.

Mate of mine was a 60 a day man, in fact the only time he wasn't smoking was when he was coughing his lungs up.. Last Christmas I bought him a little starter kit and made a couple of juices up, sent him a few links to whet his appetite and a few reports etc. he was duel fueling for a couple of months now he's a convert! Fortunately the egos/evods are readily available here now (albeit overpriced) for anyone wanting to give it a go.. Edit- congrats and congrats on your forthcoming 1000th post!

Well done toots . . . it's very satisfying making a ' conversion '. I bought a couple of these inexpensive blister packs for anyone that asks about ecigs at work . . . www.fasttech.com/p/1651705

The last thing you need is to have an e-cig that don't work

Great work there toots! I think it is incumbent on all of us to convert the great unwashed to the joys of vaping Someone who I play samba with has been a dyed-in-the-wool rollie smoker for all the time that I have known her, but I was the most surprised person when she turned up a few weeks ago to a rehearsal brandishing a petite pink 400mah battery and a disposable clearo with some tobacco juice in - her son studies at Cardiff Uni and she had stopped at an outdoor stall to try one, and ended up buying it. She's still dual-fuelling at the moment, but with the right juice and delivery system I think she'll become a full-time vaper in the fullness of time. That's a great idea too Toots about having a kit handy if you come across someone who want to come over from the dark side - of course I have a really handy local B&M shop to point people to, may have to buy a kit from there, eh zeldamum?

Well done toots. In my work 5 of us smoked and 4 of us are now vaping. My manager scoffed at me when I first showed her my kit 2 years ago. She's only using a skycig but at least it's not a fag! I'm not directly responsible for them choosing ecigs but it's just good to know were all supporting each other. Just 1 more to turn and I gave her a wee vape today and she liked it so fingers crossed she'll give in to some positive peer pressure.
