I was under the impression that it had all changed recently... that being anything over £40 was subject to 20% vat plus whatever Royal mail charge for delivery, it excludes things like babies clothes and toys.... ive ordered loads of stuff off FT and never went over the 40 quid for that reason..,ive never been charged either..... touchwood on my stuff thats due ... if i want stuff that mounts to more than 40 quid i do it in two or three shipments so as to split them.

Right, I'm gunna tell ya that they'll charge you about £50 in total. Hold up, don't shout me down - Imagine how happy the lad'll be when they charge him less! Left overs can be spent on more shiny things.

Well i just worked out what they'll charge me for the microstick & extender £22.06 VAT + £8 if it comes via RM (Duty N/A), I'm hoping it gets overlooked, so far I've been lucky with all the eLiquid I've ordered from the States (touches head as some more on way).

There seems to an arbitrary figure of £40 being bantered around! I am not sure where this comes from but I believe it to be wholly incorrect.
Customs duty is payable on a value of £135 or more. (Variable, depending on item) VAT is payable on a value of £15 or more. (20%) Excise duty is payable on stinkies, booze, perfume, etc. Royal mail charge £8 handling fee Import duty is waived if it is less than £9.
If the package is marked as a gift (and customs accept that it is indeed a gift), Customs duty and VAT become payable at £36. The declaration must be filled in correctly. Even marked as a gift and less than £36, you can still be charged!

I would probably have cancelled my microstick order, if I could of as now I've finally bagged one in the classifieds. But its already bought and paid for so I'm accepting of the extra charge which I'm working out to be £22 vat (on the £100 cost) and £8 post office charge I just better love it so so SO much I'll just keep one in normal size and one with extender and probably cull a mod or two out of my small collection (eyes evilly my eVic and Ikarus)
