good build for kayfun

Hey guys,

My usually anazing triphammer liquids are all tasting bland in my kayfun - even tasting better in a protank

Anyone got suggestions for a coil build big on flavour? At the minute ive got cotton 32g dual coil at 1.5ohms in a 'double barrel' build from a rip 'sickastits' tripper video.

Ive got 32g, 29g, and some ribbon (never used it). As much info like number of wraps and diameter woukd be awesome.

I'm using an itaste svd btw

twisted is awesome for flavor
parallel is good 2 but you might struggle to get a high nuff ohmage for your svd

for twisted i use .2 (sorry im not american so dont know what size that is in awg)round a 2mm bit 8 wraps micro coiled came out at 2 ohm and is lush in my protank
im using .5 and .3 in my kayfun but its coming out at .6 so that wont work on your svd sorry

I'm sure you've done this already, but have you rebuilt it and rewicked it?

At 1.5 ohms, a dual coil is going to take ages to heat up as you have two 3 ohm coils. Better to have a single coil IMO - no need to get too complicated with your build! Use the 29g (that's 0.28mm I think), 7 wraps should be 1.5 ohms around a 2mm drill bit

A kayfun with microcoil and cotton can wick really quickly, so crank that SVD up to it's max.

As you've got ribbon, try a rip-trippers tin-man coil?

I personally use .2 kanthal, 2 strands, 4 wraps micro coil round a 2.5mm mandrel.

Tried out the tin man coil, but my ribbon (0.4) mus be thinner and i ended up with 2.6ohms. Less wraps next time!

on 14 watts loads of vapour, loads of taste, but still a bit *meh* it's either this juice batch or vapours tongue!

do you find the draw a bit tight on the kayfun light

Chimney, 10 wraps of the 0.34mm on a 1.6mm bit gives you 1 ohm, you could twist some of the thinner wire though to keep the ohms down.

I use my kayfun on my svd with a 0.9-1 Ohm coil. I use thicker wire .4mm(26awg) on a 2.4mm former 7 wraps for .9 and 8 for 1.0. Actually each wrap on that setup gives an extra .1 Ohm.
Ive not tried twisted wire myself but the thinner wire you have is .2mm so im guessing twisting that would give similar results to having .4mm wire (give or take)

Try using this guys method for doing your wick.

It works really well, can use on a mech which means its at 20w and no problem

OK I've done something bad.

I was cleaning the Kayfun lite plus out and for some unbeknown reason decided to stick a pin through the side airhole. now everything's reading 0.0ohms. I've tried rebuilding and nothing. Have i broke it?
