For any of you familiar with Only an excuse (TV football parody show), this work is Mibbies Aye, Mibbies naw!
To treat him to his own type of speech
Glantz may or may not be a mutant dogfish hiding inside an elaborate costume. His presence may be harmful to the health of those around him, and his biased, unfounded research may be cancerous to the development of knowledge in this area.
I have never heard of a scientist who's conclusions are so inconclusive.

Glantz has set out his stall, and these days he seems to be trying anything which will help him keep it whether backed up by good science or not. For example, the "overheating" test referred to was done by cranking up a coil to way more than it could take, and ran the juice virtually dry. No-one in the world, ever, could vape that combination, dry hit wouldn't come close. It was pretty much burning the wick only, and that's apparently the "vapour" they analysed.....burnt wick flavour, anyone ?? No wonder they got the results they did, it was not a vapable substance. ....but, as in their heads, it COULD be done, it's hellfire and damnation time, with Glantz gleefully rubbing his sweaty palms in the background

I do have a problem with standonGlands himself, but I mostly have a problem with Anyone who is willing to pay the perverse twat real money for his delusional opinions. It's quite possible he is on the verge of being publicly exposed as a psychotic. Probably convicted via his own frothing pronouncement. If I had my way he would be facing charges for crimes against humanity. The guy is the worst kind of spin doctor, currently looking more like the star of the exorcist Than a genuine scientist. Sadly much of the world is lapping up the mans bile......

Act like the media, just circulate this quote ?
“There’s no question that a puff on an e-cigarette is less toxic than a puff on a regular cigarette,” says Stanton Glantz, director of the Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education at the University of California, San Francisco."

lynxkat sorry the op hun, the original post i've seen before and it was discredited as totally untrue, There is always going to be Rumours that vaping is really bad for you until proper studies have been done, and that won't be for a few years, This study says that we are smoking solvents, it's also going on about formaldehyde and we know this is now untrue,i think it's based on some American ejuice that had other chemicals other than just pg/vg, nicotine and flavourings in it,

Vaping is dam good, mega better for your than inhaling burnt organic material, but like everything there are small risks, so small that they are more or less meaning less in the real world and the context of harm reduction. Like you say we won't know the full picture for years, but on the balance of probability on all the facts it's a no brainer that vaping is way better than smoking. The whole thing is such a waste of energy, any impartial person from thick to super intelligent can see that vaping rather than smoking will save millions of slow painful deaths if they just look at the facts. And that is why they are opening an eighth level of hell for for some of the ants that put doctrine over peoples health.

Hi clairea, there is no problem either way, I just wanted to know if my suggestion was rubbished, so to speak. Was not going to argue.
At the end of the day and all debates, Vapers will win. It is still very early day's, as you say.
Vaping is here to stay, no worries. Vaping is still undiscovered by many, and the number of Vapers grows every day. I reckon the war will be over in less than five years.
No doubt, you will be able to buy Cigarettes on the black market. Cost, I guess, £10 for Twenty' in five years. By Circa 2020, Cigarettes will have gone.
If they have the Business sense, and they will, BAT and the likes will be controlling and selling the best Batteries, Mod's, Atties, Juices, on the market. The Tobacco Companies must see this new market, and must be already several years into development of Vaping products. I presume they will eventually get it right.
Forums like this AAEC, offer Vapers a chance to learn to mix their own e-juice and make their own coils. Very much forward thinking. Well done to Founders and Members alike.
I think if you can make your own juice and rebuild your own coils it won't matter much whatever happens.
Rant over, back to OP, Glantz did say “There’s no question that a puff on an e-cigarette is less toxic than a puff on a regular cigarette,” says Stanton Glantz, director of the Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education at the University of California, San Francisco." and that is all one needs to repeat from his speech. Which would really piss him off. My intention.

The thing is the science doors seem to show that pg/VG when heated produces formaldehyde and other nasties? And shows that at high voltages the levels are similar to that found in tobacco smoke? I don't think we can write off research when it tells us something we don't want to hear, and if it helps us vape more safely then that should be a good thing? [ turns vv down to 3.6]
