Hi. New to posting on the forum so apologise in advance if this has been asked before. It seems excepted that shelf life in about two years, my questions are can this be extended and what tends to happen to liquid older than 2 years ?. Like many here I want to start building up a supply, hitting FastTech for my bits and pieces and was thinking of stocking up later in the year in liquid. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hiya barontan and to AAEC I've only been vaping for just over 6 months so don't have any experience with older juice, but most juices you buy should have a use by date on them somewhere, normally 1 year. I did buy a few 'sale' juices when I first started vaping and they must of been old stock, so had shorter use by dates than I expected. I binned them a few months ago as they were watery and smelt quite stale but were very close to the use by date. I still buy the odd juice here and there but mostly make my own now, but they are never more than a few months old when I have finished them anyway

Hello & welcome barontan I've vaped e-liquid older than 2 years & haven't noticed any difference. However, if you want to stock up & keep it for a considerable time before using it, pop it in your freezer

Hi barontan and to the forum. As Chrissie said, you can extend the shelf life of eliquid almost indefinitely by storing it in the freezer. I would however, seriously consider whether to stock up on premix. You may, somewhere down the line, want to explore mixing your own. Also, not sure where you are on you vaping journey, but your taste can change quite a bit and something you love now, you may hate in 6 months time, leaving you with a freezer full of juice you don't like. The added benefit to mixing your own, is that it is only the nic base you would need to freeze, as the PG, VG and flavourings will still be readily available should the government decide to enforce the TPD in it's most severe form.

If you do store pre-mix for any length of time, frozen or otherwise . . . decant it into glass bottles, amber preferably - as that will help prevent any degradation of the flavours/nicotine strength over time.
