For the last few months I've been struggling to get a decent taste out of my mini protanks, there's been hardly any flavour and I've been getting an underlying taste in the background (not nice). Practically gave up on using them for weeks now. Today I've just realised my terrible mistake - previously ordered 10 packs of 5 coil heads from FT stating "for" Kanger protank but today I have found the "authentic" ones on FT and they are only 10 cents dearer than the cloned ones!! I had a box in the back of my vaping cupboard which my last Kanger mini protank came in. In it I found 2 original authentic Kanger coil heads so I popped them into 2 cleaned out mini protanks and hey presto the flavour was there again with no underlying background horrible taste. Now I have over 20 of these "non-authentic" kanger coil heads left but I will not be using those ones ever again. Might try recoiling them though and see what happens. So be careful when buying coil heads. I almost threw all 4 of my Kanger protank mini's in the bin coz I was soooooo despairing of them not giving me good flavour

toots, recoiling the protank heads is quite easy once you get the hang of it, your clone heads will work much better than genuine kanger heads if you recoil them with a microcoil and cotton

Re-coil them or give them a soak in Bicarb toots before you use them . . . I bought a fair few of FT's Kanger ' compatible ' heads before they started stocking the authentic ones. They're fine doing that - I use these for recoiling: www.fasttech.com/p/1591806Just laying an extra little piece of silica or rayon over the coil to fill the gap, wicks fine using VG heavy eliquid as well. Not unsalvageable.
