Hi All!
Joined Up Here After Reading the Ace Thread on Steeping Tobacco Leaf....Which I've Now Done & Put Aside to Steep.
Couple of Queries From Other Threads I've Read:-
Steeping Will Take Longer if in Glass Jars....Why?
What's Wrong With Making a Concentrate From Old Holborn HRT? What's Added to it that can pos. Disolve in a VG Tincture?... (I've Already Done this too btw...!)

Glass inhibits the molecular interaction between the various ingredients, which is just what we want for longer term storage . . . but not for more immediate use.

Although I can't tell you the science why this should be yourgurnard between a glass and plastic bottle, my mind has never inquired that far.

Some of the plastic bottles allow oxygen and water to primate and infusions from organic material is not as safe as using flavourings. There is a great podcast that is full of information on these issues linked in this thread.

Thanks! I'll Get My Red Virginia/Semi-Oriental/Old Holborn Concentrates into Plastic Bottles for Steeping Then.....If I Can Find Some! (Sorta Got All Ingredients But Not the Requisite Equipment!!)
Oh.....Another One:- Also Have 10g. (Approx) of the R/Virg. Steeping in a 36mg. 50/50 Base (Inawera's 'Powersmoke' ) Which Won't Be Strained/Filtered 'till Mid-December. Can I Gently Heat This, as I did With t'other Steeps, to Help Bring Out the Flavour or Will it affect the Nic?
Looking at Havana Leaf & Nicarguan Cigar Filler...+ Some Philippine Coronas that I Won't Be Smoking Now!...H of L watch out!!!!

It might . . . nicotine doesn't like being heated, though I wouldn't be sure of what temperature it starts to degrade at.

To be certain, you'd do better to let it steep naturally yourgurnard.
