Since the majority of tanks are filled from the bottom, it looks full when filling up. However, turn it back up and it looks half full. I filled up my new Mini Protank 3 which arrived today, and it is half when turned back up lol.

The tanks I have, the emow mega is the worst for looking empty when it is full, I try to fill it to the max and have to have a steady hand when putting the base back on so I don’t lose any liquid down the air hole

It was the only thing I hated with my kanger tanks but now I've got tanks that look and are full no longer need to carry a bottle of juice with me. My kanger subtank is the first kanger tank I've had that is actually full after I fill it hopefully the mini and nano are the same.

I believe it's something to do with having the correct air pressure and airflow in the tank - I'm not a fluid dynamics expert but read a very good article on it a while ago

Kanger seem to have fixed this with the Sub tank - it looks full when filled.
Not an issue on the Nautilus either

I love my Aerotank apart from the fact it's the worst one I've come across, due to the build, with this issue.

I hated this so I rolled some kitchen foil and then wrapped it in insulating tape so that it is the same diameter as the internal chimney. Took the drip tip off and pushed the rolled thingy into the atty from the top until it protrudes. You can now fill up to the screw threads in any protank and when done get the base and screw it on, this pushes the rolled thingy(technical description) back out the top without any juice leaking into the chimney and the atty actually is full.

I have this problem with my protanks but what I figured out was if you fill it until it looks full, then slowly continue adding juice while looking in to the tank and just keep going until the juice level reaches the edge of the chimney/central tube, then screw bottom back on and it should be full.

I do this as well but just use rolled up kitchen roll ! ... And it works

jaysey bloke thing, why use something simple when you can make it more complicated! Joking apart I thought of just using kitchen roll but thought the paper would soak the juice up and probably let it leak into the internal chimney.

Doesn't really bother me personally, the advertised capacity is all i look at when buying, the reality of how much juice is in there when filled to the manufacturer directions is all i care about. I don't care about what it looks like and refilling a tank one or two times a day isn't really a chore, certainly less hassle than rolling a bunch of smokes a day.

Mybe a tiny teeny bit but a quick shake over the sink and it's fine just roll it really tight

I've brimmed my fogger a couple of times, but it wouldn't wick right so i had to waste a bit. You need a bit of air in the tank for the juice to wick right from the start.
However, I do agree that the kanger designs are pretty poor, you don't need that much air in there. The Nautilus was just about right. I don't have experience of any others to comment further.
As an aside, has anyone actually measured 5ml into a nautilus tank? When it's inverted the juice level is well above the 5ml mark. So what's the point of having those markings? You can see through the glass when it's getting low.

Didn't jaysey mention using a cotton bud up the chimney a few threads ago?
