I've been rewicking a dual-fuelling friend's Protank Mini v3 coils for six months and reckon it's about time to upgrade him to a more satisfying vape.
He has absolutely no interest in vaping technology (yeah, weird eh?); currently gets through only 1ml a day; and is very happy with a 17mm Spinner-type VV battery. I'm hoping that the increased flavour/vapour he'll hopefully get from an OCC will convince him to rewick them himself but can't see him getting into rebuilding any time soon.
Is there any point getting him a Subtank Mini instead of the Nano? And which low power VV/VW regulated mods would look okay with the Mini/Nano that won't be too much of a shock to him? (He hates my Hana box and even thinks most of my 18350 mechs are ungainly!)

If he's never going to rebuild then he might as well stick with the nano although the other advantage the mini would have is juice capacity. For a mod I'd suggest a dna30 due to size but if the cost is too strong maybe an istick 30 watt. I wouldn't recommend the 20w version to a new vaper due to the 510 issues.

Hi if your friend isn't into box mods and stuff like that I wonder if he would like the cf mod by aspire as you know its a mech but has the short circuits protection ,etc like box mods have also over discharge protection , low battery indication and looks more pleasing to the eye if your liking that sort of thing, here is mine with the Atlantis to show you www.dropbox.com/s/qpkul6d61ph826k/IMG_20150215_205022_366-1.jpg?dl=0with the Sony vtc4 30A its been great for me , I got it four weeks ago as I'd just started and find it so easy , I'm just trying to think what he may like. I love the box mods so don't need this anymore but its a great easy mech and safe. Does your friend like a bigger or smaller tank ?? As the nano is smaller but with the mini you have the deck as well if you want to do that rather than make the stock coils, but if your just going to be making the stock coils I'd go for the nano if he's only using 1ml a day ,though with the sub its a greedy girl so he would use 2ml The link takes a sec to come up

What about the chronus variable wattage mod would he like that ,I know a guy who bought that because he didn't like the look of most mechs and box mods , its so hard as I'd be happy with most box mods O wait just thought no good for the sub tank only 15 watt I think

Thank you folks.
As much as I like the look of the CF Mod and the price of the SMO, I suspect he'll go for a Nano on a 30W iStick as it's not much bulkier than his existing kit. Still that will give me the excuse to grab a Mini for myself at the same time!
I've found a Todd review comparing all three Subtanks and will be going through it with my friend when I can pin him down.
Thanks again!

Well you for sure won't want the big Subtank on an iStick that would look ridonkulous. In terms of performance there is no real difference between the Mini and Nano in terms of air flow or flavour. The Mini you will get the RBA deck and that would be less fiddly to rewick the coil on than the OCC head. But if your friend is determined to go small then the Nano fits the bill, the OCC heads can be rewicked or rebuilt fairly easily just not as easy as the RBA.

I like the iistick I think there great little things and you get a good choice with colour,my mod is a mini(ivp) I reckon he won't believe the difference it makes let us know how you go on ,good luck hope he's alright with the change turn the air flow down first so he can find where he likes it as some people find when its fully open its way to much, I love it

Ah no, should have explained myself better but I was knockered. If the friend goes for a Nano plus iStick 30w and I get the job of rewicking his OCC heads then I'll use it as an excuse to get a Mini for myself so I can check the coils before handing them over. In fact, he can have the OCC heads from my Mini too. So that's a double justification!

I got my first box mod on January 5th this year, and this is what i said when i got it. Hasn't quite worked out that way, here i am 54 days later and i have 7 box mods sitting in front of me and another 4 in transit. icon_shoppingm
