Fixed a kayfail fill hole a few weeks back by drilling out to 2.5mm and tapping at M3, then used an M3 screw in place of the original. Added a countersink as well to take the screwhead just under the bottom surface of the tank to stop it scrathing or catching on mods. Seemed to work well enough, but cant be sure as I gave it away at the last edinbugger vapemeet.
Perhaps the same could work for the OP.

If you know anyone with an orginal lemo they come with some silicone plugs that you can use instead of a fill screw, might be ideal. Ahhhh thanks she has an original lemo fantastic worth a try

Thank you I shall let her know all these suggestions she does has another on order I just thought it was a waste. But I do think it must of been dodgie to begin with

Maybe try putting it in the freezer and it might contract in the cold to get it out
