Very clever switch idea. I keep wondering how people make their own switches.

Very clever switch idea. I keep wondering how people make their own switches. I was pushing the door in and it kept springing back out and I had a light bulb moment. It wasnt the original plan but it seemed too good not to do it.

perhaps a couple coil springs to tie the switch side base to the mod base?? countersink a couple of 1/2 way thru holes in the mod base and epoxy springs in the holes and drill corresponding holes into the switch side base and drop on this will be a work of art when finished..

Check out this www.moleroda.com/acatalog/Micromesh_Sheets.htmlYou can get sets of sheets on fleabay for a good price. You can sand to polish acrylic, metal, wood, women, etc I use micromesh in the epipes, wood and polishing the 510 also use a lot with the silver pieces I build etc. Best abrasives I've used. Box is looking great bud. What glue did you use to hold it together?

Thanks, dunno about work of art Ill be glad if it just looks finished. Ive a big box of unfinished projects hidden in the corner lol. Is just a regular builders multi purpose waterproof polyurethane glue from the iron mongers. If it had been all wood Id probably have just used some pva but the nylon inserts called for something else.

Looks fantastic, well done matey. Just love the clean lines with no visible screen or buttons or charger holes.

Same box but a bit narrower, thinking about putting the screen, buttons and usb behind the door. Only downside it may well have to be a lipo.

Smaller would be even better, but I don't think it's possible to make it any better than that one.
