"momentary contact switch" will turn up a selection of buttons, add "panel mount" for buttons you want to mount in the box rather than on a pcb held in position. ebay will have a few thousand from plastic upto marine grade SS.. ebay list of options

vereybowring on vttv knocked up a mod with some home-made buttons. Thin copper sheeting cut into small squares, sandwiching double sided sticky tape with a circular hole cut out of the middle. About as Heath Robinson as it gets, but it worked. Looked a bit of a bugger to solder connections to though.

Yeah Mark Jones the Modmaster (godresthim) and myself were about the only ones making those switches regularly, I even did a real time video of how to build one ages ago. The one in my old VV mod I built is still working flawlessly after more than two years and it was used all day every day for more than a year.

I bought some cheap tactile switches off of ebay, a £ for 20 IIRC. Thought they where great till I got the DNA chip all wired up and assembled in a box it was only then I found out every time I pressed the fire button it was locking the mod. Thought it was a dodgy button so switched it for another as i had 20 of em, and same thing happened again. Ended up putting a hana ball button on the fire and worked flawlessly.
