Well done and I totally agree with the others as soon as you get up grab your e-cig and have a vape and you shouldn't have any withdrawal symptoms. Remember any thing like a sore throat could be your body starting to do a clear out of the nasties but if you have a decent nicotine level in your e-cig you should be ok as far as nicotine withdrawal symtoms go. I went from 18+ a day to zero nasties but by golly did I vape my head off that first few day. I now usually grab e-cig sometime within first hour of getting up and vape then on and off throughout the day when I can.
You are doing fantastic, as you have said don't pressure yourself there is no race you will just find one day you reach automatically for your e-cig rather than the nasties and no even realise it.

Ok so today was not as positive but it is ok. It went a little belly up from this morning when I had my morning nasty with tea. When I woke I had a stripping dry throat and felt like I had the flu! The feeling has been on and off all day and I suppose I reached for what I know best. IMHO I know I can give up the nasties and that will be my aim. Yesterday I felt great (minus dinner times) and I think this morning was the first sign that my body was detoxing from the other chemicals. Also I have spent so much time focussing on the nic content of my juice as I was accomodating the nasties as well that I think I may need to raise the nic level for when the switch happens. How many mg would you recommend going up?
??? Now I know what it is I can expect, I have a weeks leave booked off from work in March so that is when I will put maximum effort, of course if it happends before then it's all good

Just vape when you feel the need to suck on a cig MrsMac with whatever strength ejuice you've got..You'll find yourself vaping a lot initially but that'll pass..

I'm not sure what stregth your on at the moment MrsM but I'd say go up to the next level, hopefully then that should help give you that final kick to stop craveing those last few. But do remember, you smoked how many a day before the e-cig ? and now your on 3-4 a day .... thats bloody awesome so go easy on yourself. I know when I try to say to myself I can't have somethign it just makes me want it all the more lol 1 day at a time ...

Jem, you're so right it's feeling denied that causes most of the problems not removing the temptation.
MrsMac, early on I used to get the odd pang for the comfort of a nasty but I got into the habit of thinking well have a good vape session now and if you still feel like you need a nasty in half an hour you can have one - I rarely ever did though!

Lol I agree and it is strange how it just crepped up like that on me yesterday to not have the urge tomorrow. Going to see if I can replicate the results and maybe give myself a daily quota. Hubby is like a fish out of water because he usually nicks a few of my nasties to go to work, hence why he also brought a pack home for me yesterday (bless him) On a positive/not so positive depends how you look at it note, after a week of me constantly topping off a small ce2 on a mini 510 for him, he got fed up of gurgling, juice in mouth syndrome and I offered him my spare batt and a stardust and he took it now in the evenings, he comes in puts down his keys and the stardust and says "top up please!!"

That's nice Mrs Mac! I'd gladly share my vaping supplies with my hubby, and top him up, lol if he would give me his cig budget to buy vaping gear! We could have a Povari each in 2 months Joking apart, you're doing great, well done

Fantastic news MrsM It helped a couple of my friends to get their heads around giving it ago seeing how it worked for me. Sometimes you just need to mention it's an option and hopefully they see the results and try it themselves. Sometimes it's those last one or two thats the hardest to stop, maybe tomoro tell yourself that you try the riva first and then a ciggy if it doesn't work. Try to get your mind to associate the riva with the nicotine rather than the ciggy. And if you need a ciggy, have a ciggy Simples lol If you start to ration yourself your still telling yourself that you need them.

Very true, rations is another way of saying it is not allowed. I didn't think of things like that but it makes sense. I really like that, reach for the ecig first and nasties second

Yeah, MrsMac don't deny the nasties! 5 weeks into this and I still have tobacco and lighters in the drawer. I gave in last weekend when surrounded by smokers, but it was horrible! I soon put it out and went back to my e-cig! Part of what is working for me is that I never said I was giving up the nasties, all I've ever said is that I was trying to cut down! No pressure Count the ones you don't smoke

Try to keep in mind you aren't quitting smoking, your just changing brands Getting with the 21st century and going digital! Anything that makes your brain realise it's still getting it's nicotine without all the tar and crap is worth a try

Isn't it amazing how the body reacts after nearly a full day without the rubbish, just goes to show, if the come down is like this, what it is actually doing on the inside. I've had fluy symptoms all day and am tucked up in bed which is unusual for so early.

Glad your doing so well Mrs Mac, think my first post on this site was a response to you having a bad day! So glad your getting there , I'm a few weeks behind you in the cutting down stakes and whilst the nastys do seem to be nasty I still think I need them , my lowest daily score is 6 so my next aim is too match your 3.5 , (sorry I'm a bit of a Monica, competition really gets me going)
