further to my last, the chimney threads are the problem, the vvtf rda has a larger shouldered shank that the thread runs into the create a dead stop whereas the "original authentic coils" have no shoulder and can easily be overtightened, the RBA though whilst annoyingly tiny and fiddly to work with do es the job and after half a tank without any leaks so far, like phtumshk I also used one of the pre wound coils provided although since its 0.3ohm lower res I had to spin the watts up to get rid of the spitting and low vape quality, would be interested to know if people think ni200 or kanthal a1 would be better for this head ?
I am using Kanthal 30AWG (0.25mm) 7 wraps around 2.5mm screwdriver came out at just below 2 ohms, wicked with Cotton Bacon, needed a few goes to get this gauge wire to trap under the tiny screws but got there in the end, after 3 days its still working fine and my LiQuid 12mg Premium Tobacco vaping at 9W is pretty nice Silva

silvasurfathanks for the info, as it turns out I have a spool of both the A1 and the ni200 in 28awg, apparently when I was looking at the weekend I ordered both of them along with the RBA...still it works and I have pair of subtanks that the ni200 can go in so I wont get in trouble for buying stuff I'll never need again ... although I think 75 meters of each In the bf sale might of been a bit much still it was cheaper than most people are selling 5ft for on ebay

ok so having had the RBA in use for a while now and having just received a second shipment of a few more rba coils here's some pictures for comparison for anyone still unsure about getting this bit of kit the actual kit when you unwrap it the deck head side by side with original coil tank with original coil fitted tank with rba fitted (not using second seal) have to say I've been using the one rba coil pretty much exclusively since I wicked it with multiple different flavours and running this at 17.5watts I am enjoying the output a lot, I might need to change the wick which I suspect will destroy the coil (because I'm pretty sure I used to much wicking material) but certainly thus far it has been a good experience and i'll get the other two decks in use in the next day or two as the other two tanks I just received will be sweet with them in

Managed to get the RBA in the kabuki clone with some faffing. Had to taper the pin in the Black & Decker lathe. And take about 5mm off the upper chimney but it went in eventually. Tastes completely different to when it was in the nautilus. Its 1 heavy ass tank for a simple clearo thats for sure. Put it on a mech you could use it as a cosh.
