I think Lewis knew exactly what he was doing mid race, and was more to do with trying to lessen the strain on his power plant as he does not have many engines left due to all the failures at the start of the season. He also proved yet again that he is a far better driver than Rosberg will ever be simply by opening the gap again whenever he needed to do so.
If Lewis wins in Germany next week i think it will be a killer blow to Rosberg.

Well it was all about the start and for once Lewis got it right. After that it was a bit of a procession. Hamilton probably radioed that he was struggling for pace just to liven up his afternoon. Surprised he didn't get a penalty for radio contact breach of rules with that. Or maybe he was just taking the mick, in the hope Nico got the message too. Whenever Nico got close, Lewis opened a gap. Boring race though. I thought Jensen got a rough deal today. McClaren improving, which is nice to see. Also Max V needs to watch his defensive moves. I thought he overstepped the mark today at least twice, maybe more. He does it a lot though, and is definitely pushing the limits of legality.

He does some boxing. That is why Nico never retaliates when Lewis digs him out. Like with the double yellow comment yesterday.

The FIA is quite a useless club. They tried to partly blame the Bianchi accident on not slowing down enough under yellows but when Rosberg does it its ok. Buttons brake paddle going to the floor is not a safety issue either. Verstappen seems to get away with everything as well. Completely random rulings.

He was allowed to get some of that info as it warned him about a situation where the car was likely to break down, but they went too far telling him to avoid 7th gear, that was considered driver couching. Lewis's car was not going to break down by being in the wrong mode so telling him how to set the right mode would have been considered driver couching and against the rules. The word is this will end in either these rules being dropped or almost no radio communication. www.espn.co.uk/f1/story/_/id/17164494/f1-relaxes-radio-ban

I am glad of this. I imagine that it was brought to a head by last weeks absolutely ludicrous penalty that Jenson was given.

Congratulations to Lewis, great job. Good to see that karma finally caught up with Rosberg.

Well done Lewis. Didn't see the race as I don't have Sky, but will try to watch the highlights on C4 this evening.

Hamilton owned the race from the start, Nico started ok, but then seemed to spin up the rear!s in the 2nd stage of getting off the line losing position fast.
Hamilton's on a good run now, and despite him likely having to take an engine penalty at Spa ( best track to do it at as overtaking is easier) I think he has now broken Rosberg.

The more pressure Rosberg is put under the more inpatient he gets. I suspect we will see more crazy moves from him in the rest of the season.

Obviously Rosberg "forgot" to turn his steering wheel again when he was "under pressure" to be overtaken by Verstappen - just like he did to Hamilton before.........

Watched this and interspersed it with a bit of BTCC.
Horrible accident at Snetterton today.
Watching it live at the time. i really thought someone was going to be seriously hurt or even killed.
Luckily the driver and cameraman walked away unscathed.

They really are ******* up their sport. Over here, on Virgin media their is no way to get all the races live. Only C4's offering. Did Luca Montezemolo not say a few years ago that F1 would never be pay per view or words to that effect. Why would anyone pay for this current borefest? Even the drivers these days are very unlikable.
