Wismec Theorem Notch Coil First Impressions

This is not a full review, just my initial reaction on receiving it yesterday 27/04/16

Firstly the included coil comes with a great deal of cotton stuffed through it, so much in fact that it restricts the amount of juice you can get in the tank so on finishing my first load of juice I I trimmed quite a bit of the length so that it just touched the bottom of the tank and left it much less bulky. The filler is easy to access, though it needs a bottle with a long tip to get it down to the tank.

Secondly the tank is only held together with O-rings but they're tight and it can stand to be picked up by the body even with a heavy mod, and the SMOK X CUBE II is certainly heavy.

Thirdly the airflow is very good and can be adjusted visually by removing the top section and adjusting as little or as much as you want.

Finally the coils seem very good and clean and the Flavour WOW!! , this has got to be my No 1 tank.  A warm and thoroughly satisfying vape right from the off. It is a revelation with complex mixes giving of their best and each nuance in taste coming through. I'm not sure how much this is due to the tank design or the notch coil, I suspect that the latter is the main contributor, but I loved this tank from the first few puffs as it was so good.

It comes with a spare glass tank, spare steel tank with the glass inside it, a spare coil and cotton. screws and an allen key and manual.

im not getting any flavour from mine. I have rewicked my notch coil with less cotton.

i even tried a quick dual coil horizontal build but still its not a good vape.

What mod are you using and what settings?. On the X Cube II I've got it on SS. SC. Standard TCR. and it's blowing me away.

Its a great little atty, well made and easy to coil/wick and fill.
Flavour wise its the best atty I've used/got.

using it on the cuboid in SSL tc mode at 50 watts 450f. i just traded it for another avocado.

This theorem is cause giving me a head ache. Do i order one or not!? Theres such mixed reviews on this. Some say its amazing best ever...some say its crap. The divide seems to be more so than on other attys that have come out.

I had one on order with FT for the last 2 weeks...they kept altering the shipping date which was annoying me, then i heard alot of people were unimpressed. So cancelled my order and spent the money on other stuff.
Now im reading some good reviews! What to do!i love the gennie style attys and love the look of this one. Hmmmmmm

It certainly isn't crap but at the same time it certainly isn't the best.
The tank itself is very good, the airflow is customiseable enough to adjust to taste, the notch coil on the other hand is going to be subject to taste.
It heats up exceptionally quick completely negating ramp up time of thicker wired coils which means you need less watts to run it.
If you do temp control on ss then they're pretty meh, I even tried dual coiling a tsunami with a couple of 3.5mm notch coils which came out at .07ohms and I still cant get a decent enough vape from them
SS also for me doesn't do as well as nickel or kanthal with the strawberry milk juice that I blow clouds with. It seems to strip the body from the flavour.

Put a clapton in that tank then - as long as the wicking is up to par- it blitzes the flavour issues and produces thick dense flavourful clouds.
Ramp up time on a 5mm diameter clapton coil is a tad slow though

just want to add that although I did'nt get the flavour I was after from the notch coil and the preceding dual vertical build and single clapton builds. The guy I traded with loves the flavour from the Theorem and is glad he traded it.

Just because I did not like it does not mean you wont either. I didn't like the Mooonshot and others say its their best cloud/flavour rta.

It's just the orings holding it in place that's putting me off getting one of these.will see what v2 looks like as I'm sure it will follow sooner rather then later.
