Always fancied a billet box but Im a bit of a cheap skate.

Well here goes another of my long winded mod build threads.

Always fancied a billetbox, had a clone of the original and even with my favourite rebuildable carto it was a bit of a let down to say the least so moved it on.
But I still really liked the idea of a tank in a box concept.
Time goes by and we now have the Rev4 with its more up to date divers and is starting to get me interested again.
So jokingly the other day I said Im going to turn a hammond 1550p box in to a B-box style mod so bit the bullet and I ordered a boro tank clone for the sum of £5.65 delivered.


Ok got a tank, now I need a up to date, juice drinkin, cloud chuckin diver.

I raided the Knick-Knacks draw and i found,
A 510 extension piece.


Kanger v1 base,

Kayfun Nano chimney set

An old Rainbow heaven rebuildable ceramic carto


Bit of sawing an filing later Ive managed to make myself a cheapskate diver to go with my boro tank..

Fingers crossed It might just work.

Next up, the hammond conversion . . . . . . . . . .

Already have a hammond 1550 but its got a few more holes in than Id Like cos in its short life its been
An SVB clone

And a Mosfet squonker.



So heres me  box.


Already have the lid magneted up so its good to go.

After much time with the rule Ive realised theres no way Im getting any kind of chip in it (other than a starplat) and seems how I  use mechs every day Ive decide to throw caution to the wind and make it a full mech mod.


Made a polycarbonate liner (helps with keeping the positives from the negatives) that should it all work out I can transfer easily to a new box.

Aint quite finished needs a few more bits n bobs adding.


Slips nicely into the case.


White square of paper is where the tank will drop in (he hopes lol)


Test fit the battery.


The square hole will be for the button.


Just waiting on some bits to arrive.
Namely a 1/4 bsp nut

And a 1/4 to 1/8 bsp reducer.


Which will hopefully become the 510 driptip/tank retainer and Neg terminal (he hopes lol).

Finished off the plastic bits inside.
Just hope the tank fits in the space when it arrives from the far East.

Don't know if this helps. Have another 1550p that is about to become a MOSFET dual 18650 mod...

Yep I had seen them, wouldnt mind the insider but didnt want to throw  £12 at 1 till I know this all works out lol.
I did look at the modmakers boxes, could get a chip in em as there 1/2 inch longer than the 1550 but there either too wide or too narrow

Going by the pics looks like i have the width spot on.

I was going off the sizes given on a chinese site so was worried they were way off.
looking much more like its going to work out.

Top 1/4 nut and 1/4-1/8 reducer fitted and work great holding the diver in place.
drip tip fits perfect.


finished neg battery and switch contacts.


just waiting on the tank now.

well my package arrived from 2fdeal, i wasnt expecting it to turn up so quick.
I thought the package looked a bit big opened it up and found something else I wasnt expecting.


Yep bit of a mix up me thinks, dont think Ill be ordering from 2fdeal again but thanks for the mod lol.
Have to order a boro tank from FT or 3Fvape.
