When I'm at home and there is only the dog to see me (who thinks I'm a bit of weirdo anyway) I sometimes take the cone cover off my Riva to vape and I think that I get a better vape, am I imagining this? Does the cone have any effect on the draw at all?
Thanks for putting up with my endless questions

with the cone off it will mean increased air-flow. cone on - decreased air-flow. I only discovered this with my ego-T, instead of just using the end of the cartomiser that was on there, I went up to the cone, couldn't breathe as there was no air being able to be drawn through. So, yes it would effect it, but I guess it would be also personal choice on whether or not it was preferred. The cone really I think is mainly atheistic, although I could be very wrong there! All the best

you're not imagining it the cone can 'restrict' the airflow into the atty/carto etc

She had the same issues as you in that the cone was effecting the airflow. She sent her cones to me and I did a little bit of modding to them by carefully drilling 4 1mm holes around the base just above the thread line. This increased the airflow. The options I gave her were for 2 or 4 holes. but I have better drills now and a jig to do it. So it is still 2 or 4 holes but they can be bigger at 2mm each, Like I say speak to karma and she can tell you the differance that she found

They do tighten the draw, but it looks better and it also helps keep the heat in the carto a bit during winter.

Well they are convenient handwarmers when it's nippy out. You can't do that with a nasty

The cone really I think is mainly atheistic, although I could be very wrong there! As far as I am aware, there have not been any documented cases of cones giving an opinion on the existence of god.

Should not have said that batty, you are now going to be receiving loads of cones begging for air holes. #icon_rofl#

Apart from increasing the air flow, would it not use up the juice quicker?

In theoy the juice would be used slower, as each draw would contain more air and therefore less juice

fingers typing faster than brain! Think I was going for the "aesthetically pleasing" - should have just said, "they're just there to look pretty", unless aerodynamics have anything to do with it? Cones with opinions though? Could be interesting. This forum needs a grammar check button :-[
