**Dave's Provari P2, how it came to pass** I abused P2, I really did. Dropped it, took a screwdriver and hammered the top off it "to clean inside" more than once, then slammed the top back on with a lump hammer and a block of wood. Still it kept firing. It put up with attys left overnight on top leaking their willies (or lady bits... for female attys) all over it. Being cleaned by wiping it with a soggy facecloth. But eventually, all good things must pass, it popped its clogs. First it wouldn't fire, would go through the menus fine but nothing, and atty resistances were going up and down like one-oh. So I did the 'isoprop bath' thing. BAD BAD BAD IDEA. The iso must have melted the seal between the contact and the tiny wee bit of plag that sits on it, and try as I might I could not get it to work again - a couple of dabs of superglue to hold it on, no good. It just would not even start up. As a last resort, tried a large blob of silicone to replace the plastic piece, not a sossidge. So after about 2 years of plenty of use, P2 is Past. The P2 is dead, all hail the P3

That is REALLY useful, especially being able to specify Kanthal in mm. Lots of posts/youtubes of folk using '26 gauge kanthal' is that AWG or SWG, have to think how does it convert to the stuff I have that's on mm-marked rolls... Self-quote for the lose but... good grief, dialed in a dual coil, .3 mm kanthal, target 0.4 (for teh cloudz!!!111) and it came back with 5 wraps. Good grief, least number of wraps I've ever done is 7. No wonder my home mades have been a bit weaksauce...

ORDERED. Sometimes you just have to grit your teeth and do it. 200 sobs later... icon_shoppingm But it's a new Provari 3 It's a real quality piece of kit mate, I just can't help thinking temperature control But it's as solid as the previous models and the electronics are impressive, just be warned- if your batteries aren't new then they'll show up with a lower % when put in a P3. Not cos there's anything wrong with the P3, just your batteries You'll bee impressed none the less Frig me pink. Better dig out Torchy's site details (again), some of my 18650s are looking a bit green about the gills. Well they are green, being genuine Sony VTC5s, but they have this... tinge. They are about a year old though and in constant use...

Ok to all you happy istickers. Have to ask this... my Provari's well and truly a goner, is the iStick a contender for replacement? Is it reliable, dependable, and lots of other words ending in ibble?

googly translaitoided at here. What a scandal. Shows how far these unscrupulous assholes in BP will go to get their desired end, a monopoly on providing nicotine at high prices to poor suckers. Forever.

On the side of vapers : 2 million and growing happy vapers, respected scientists, ASH, a £multi billion pound and growing worldwide boom industry, and some enlightened politicos. Against : VIs, corrupt cherry-picking 'scientists', politicos in the back pocket of BP/BT, and a lot of drooling fanatics masquerading as 'health' 'experts'.
