Well it's been three days since I got my Vamo, that's 60 plus cigs not smoked and to be honest the thought of a role up is quite disgusting. I know it's early days but the whole smoking thing was starting to be a grind, losing my mother and my dads heart attack were probs not the primary reason for me wanting to give up bizarrely. I've always gone through phases of not enjoying smoking every year or so so when it happened this time I thought I'd strike while the irons hot as it were. Interestingly enough I've had withdrawal even though I'm not missing out on nicotine. Must be all that ammonia and benzine and other crap, broke out into a sweat in town today and have felt just a tad weird for most of the day but not tempted to have a cig. I'm enjoying the different settings on my Vamo, 6 watts in the morning, 9 when I'm in a rush 7 when I really want to taste the flavour, I've cleaned and put back together both my vivi's with no probs and even mixed a bit of vanilla with my 7 wolves to stand in for the ry4 till I get some more. I had a good old vape in costa coffee this afternoon with my Americano and no one batted an eyelid. The only prob is my 14 year old son who is convinced we'll get knicked cos it looks like a bong!?! How does he know what a bong looks like? Apparently he's seen them on police interceptors! Oh that and a bit of a dry mouth. After one day I was breathing through my nose when I went to sleep, that's not happened for as long as I can remember so long in fact I'd stopped thinking about it! I hope the big tobacco company don't get their way and take over through regulation pushing the price through the roof because I'm really happy to have found this. A full time smoker since I was 13. Just some thoughts
Chris.

As a newbie I'm finding this a bit of a mine field, people selling things that aren't what they claim to be is surely playing into the hands of the regulators, I'm glad I found you lot to keep me right. 3 days without a cig by the way so it would be a shame to lose all this cos someone wants a quick profit.

when ya go from vw to vv is it normal for it to reset to the lowest mark and vice versa ??? Yes, it certainly does that on my v1.2 ??? I would imagine it's the same on V2's, it's the sensible way to do it. I think I may also have this v1.2?!? I'm not that fussed as I didn't know there was a v2 anyway and it's working just fine (newbie) but I would like to think its genuine. Would I be correct in thinking that? (No etching on the back)

Newbie alert! I was just wondering why some people advocate trimming the wicks in clearomizers? What would you gain from doing this? Cheers

Another +1 for 9 watts - that is what I like, although I usually start and end the day on a bit less. That's what I'm finding as well, had it on 6.5 watts this morning, lovely first thing, nice and mellow then cranked it up whilst I nipped out from a show at half time for a quick chug now back down to 7.5 as it'll prob not leave my hand now I'm settled for the evening.

I think the differences are - V2 Better bottom cap spring Remembers the setting when changing the battery (not sure on this) Has metal buttons My V2 has all of the above,it remembers the volts and or watts when switched off but forgets the voltage when you take the battery out, however it does remember the watts after a battery change. lovely mate, that's perfect info I will go for a short version enjoy the vamo! You may already know this but one is both if that makes sense, there is only one type to buy and it comes in long mode you then just leave out the centre section and put the smaller battery in for mini mode, probs makes it a third shorter. Apologies if you already know this. Chris.

Excellent stuff, I've just thrown my tobacco out today when my vamo arrived. You've inspired me. This time next year I'd like to put non smoker on my life insurance.

sounds like your on the right track mate, best of luck just one question how long is the vamo? looking to find something to use alongside my provari. You can have it in mini or long mode, so basically the battery compartment is in two pieces so you can have them both together in long mode ( and it is quite long) or miss one section out and use it with a smaller battery. I'm afraid I have no experience to compare it to something else for you but it's quite dinky in mini mode. Hope that helps!

Another great success story! Well done persevering and having faith that there is better kit to be got, how's the 555? Congrats Chris. Ah yes .... The 555. Well that was my first mistake, schoolboy error you could say, because of the way the vivi is put together I accidentally took it apart rather than unscrewing it from the vamo when I was comparing it so practically all of it is currently running down my leg! The brief vape I had with it, quite nutty, a lot harsher with a stronger throat hit. Very nice but I stink of it now!

Glad you like it and a big thanks to me..lol.. for posting all the info and for Jason doing the good thing and calling you after reading my replies. I think you will be happy for a long time now. What settings have you got it set up at? Yeah thanks ever so much. I've got it set at 9 watts and its just right for me with the ry 4 loads of taste plenty of vapour and a moderate throat thingy. I don't like the throat hit too hard which was my experience with the green smoke. I'm very happy indeed.

Well I got up at eight this morning which to be honest is a lie in for me, not at work, the boys not at school and my wife is still off too, so could of had longer if I wanted, however I was expecting/ hoping to get my order from Vape Escape this morning. Well I sat in the living room with the telly on waiting .... And waiting..... Nothing. So I set about taking the Christmas decs down and whilst doing the porch found the "sorry we missed you" card. Gutted, must've come at about 7 o clock. Available to pick up from the depot in 24 hours! That's ages! So I had a cigarette and went to the shop for the paper and as luck would have it there was my postie sat in his van and yes he still had my parcel on board! Result! So I hot footed it home to play with my new toys, bear in mind my only experience of vaping up to now was green smoke e cigs about two years ago. In my parcel I got: Ego vamo vv vw Efest 2000mah batteries x2 Vivi nova stv x 2 Xtar wp II charger And three 5ml samplers of juice to get me going.
I set about filling the Nova with the RY4 sampler one drop at a time?!? no thank you the bottle was to small to squeeze with my finger so I stuck the nozzle down the side of the vivi and squeezed the bottle with my teeth, not ideal I know but it did the trick. Left it to soak while I stuck the other battery on to charge. Wow! How fantastic is this, chucked my baccy straight into the bin! It truly is a completely different experience to an e cig, not one bad hit and I can actually taste the flavour as opposed to the green smoke wich was just burnt with a hint of mint or burnt with a hint of tobacco, no burnt taste at all and loads of vapour. I'm so impressed ( in case you hadn't gathered) I'm going to put the 555 in the other vivi and give that a shot now. No one else in the house smokes so they are really pleased to see me finally throw my baccy out. Thanks to vape escape for ringing and suggesting I swap the lave tube for the vamo, great customer service, and a massive thanks to you all for your advice and warm welcome. I've ordered another 5 samplers. This is gonna be fun! Cheers
Chris.
