I should add I've still been smoking the odd analogue I still miss the smoke 'feeling' if that makes sense, but used only 12.5g of tobacco since Monday where usually I'd have smoked 50g. No rules to say you aren't allowed the odd analogue. But think of it this way - you have reduced your baccy usage by 75% - that's huge. Well done you.

Good going Tizer and you've got a very positive attitude, which is a big bonus. Well done so far Thanks Jason. Was thinking about trying the echomiser or smokeymiser and some of griz's juices but not much point right now till I start getting some taste back to the vape - plus I want to break even first just to prove I can save money before I rush out and spend it all again - but I will be ogling in your store sooner rather than later

Well it's my 11th day of vaping - almost not a newbie anymore. The past two days haven't been too good, analogue wise - 7 each day BUT that's still at least 33 avoided per day. Today I just don't seem to be getting any flavour in my vape - have switched both the atty and cart but it's still not helping - lots of vapour, good draw on the e-cig, batteries charged so I think it's my taste buds objecting to things - not a lot I can do about that other than just vape them into submission. I still need my early morning analogues but (excluding Thursday and yesterday) I only have 2 before I go to work - I would easily smoke at least 10 in that time before. So my summary for past 10 days is: 50 analogues smoked 350+ analogues NOT smoked £109.03 saved on analogues (but I have spent £136 on kit/spares and supplies - so not quite break even point yet but almost there )

Welcome shellybo. Probably a bit too late but this is what I do to fill an empty cartridge for my riva (like you I was disappointed with the instructions)
1. Make sure you have kitchen paper or similar to hand - you will spill your liquid or drip it somewhere you don't want it. 2. Remove white-filler from the black cartridge 3. Drop e-liquid into the cartridge till it's about two-thirds/three-quarters full. 4. Put the filler back into the cartridge so that it is level with the top. 5. Slowly add extra drops to the top of the cartridge - one at a time allowing it to soak into the filler until the cartridge is completely full. 6. When the drop "sits" on the top, I found a bent paperclip is useful for sticking down the side of the cartridge and squidging the filler to squeeze that last drop in. 7. Attach the atomiser to the battery and put 2-3 drops into the atomiser to wet the steel wick you can see inside it. 8. Push the cartridge into the atomiser, give a quick wipe with the kitchen towel, screw the cover cone on and then good to go.
How long it will last is the proverbial piece of string but you will need to top the cartridge up with a few drops every now and then - usually when the flavour starts to fade. Don't vape till the cart and filler are dry/empty - you need to keep it topped up and wet or you will burn your atomiser - not a good flavour.

Hello Husky, welcome to the forum.
Have you managed to sort your problems out yet? If not, just let us know exactly which kit you bought and someone on here will be able to suss it out for you. I got the Riva 1100 (510 with big batteries) to start and it is confusing as heck initially but with the help from the forum even I got there despite breaking the charger within the first 48 hours.

rav, that is soo funny but perfectly understandable - when I got my first kit I looked at it and thought "what the heck do I do now!" Had to get destructions from the lovely peeps on here (cos can't watch the how-to vids - actually I can watch them, just can't hear a damn word!)
But despite that you kept trying and still managed not to smoke any cigs - a huge well done to you. You must be lovin the vaping now.

There seems to be a bit of a bug in the code for the Back to Top link. If you use the "new" image on the new topics page to jump into the thread, you have to click the BTT link twice before it will take you to the top of page but if you go into a thread by clicking the page number, it works just fine.

So when you started vaping there may have been things you expected to happen such as saving money, reducing the number of analogs you smoked, not smelling like an ash-tray etc etc. But have there been any other side-effects you weren't expecting?
For me and bearing in mind I've only been at it for a week are:
1. I'm drinking less coffee!
2. I can have a vape while walking the dog in the pouring rain - couldn't do that (easily) with an analogue.
So what about the rest of you?

Oi, you! There's nothing wrong with my dogs As for that collection - wow, although there are few that are rather scary looking - more like instruments of torture.
