Lookie what I've got Hoping I've not picked a humongous file size Left it to 'soak' an hour and still playing about with it, adjusting watts and air holes, trying to get the right combo. At present I'm not getting the vapour that I got from my carto! Still, the flavour is very good and I shall soldier on, airflow/watts... s'all new to me, lol. Looks pretty and feels good in my hand too. The woman who's grand daughter now has a huge shisha pipe (lol) brought me a few bits today. It was the odd drip tip etc... and a brand new still packaged Nautilus X!! Well, seeing as though the vape gods were smiling on me and I've hardly spent anything - at least compared to some - in my near 5 years of vaping, only buying ego type batteries, cartos and juice, I went a bit nuts. I've ordered an iStick Pico to go with the Nautilus X and the extender/adapter glass to make it 4ml. One for each hand I think One very happy camper here with big big thanks to you lovely forumers for your help so far.

*drumroll* The deed is done, and there is a Plato winging it's way here, should arrive tomorrow or Wed There was the choice of 1.6 or 1.8 coils, I went for the 1.8. Way excited here and will let you know how I get on. On a side note, someone overhearing a conversation I was having said that their grand daughter had some "vaping tube bits" gear that she no longer used as she now only vapes at home and uses, and I quote "one of those really big, stand up on the table pipe things" lol. So we'll see what comes of that! Hope I can sleep tonight...

striker42 *sneaks back in for a mo* Could you point me towards the coils the Plato uses? It states BVC (?) Nautilus - but in searching them out I found a couple of posts that said something about only the mini's fitting?? So confusing! On the Aspire UK site in their dropdown menus to the right of the Plato show 'compatible' coils and says nothing about Nautilus...but Triton something or the other. It's not made easy for someone like me

The Plato was one of the ones I had on my "long" list...do you know, I think it may be time to close my eyes and stick a pin in! Removing any from the list that members have pointed out have known issues (thinks Cupti) I shall give the now longer by one shortlist a final go over and report back when the deed is done. At ease...

Ok, think I'll stick with the box/tank set up, and as my requirements are mainly to do with the tank (that is right, yes? lol) thought I should find a tank that meets my needs/wants and then a box to match it to. Could be backwards, but made sense to me In that light I went searching for ones that suited and found a few, but to condense, they were all on this review site thingy - Tank Reviews . The ones I thought would suit were the Triton 2 - the Cubis (?) - the Nautilus / Nautilus X (which have been suggested). The X would need the adapter kit to get it over the 2ml, but the Nautilus is 5ml. From what I read, all will do the 1.5 - 1.8 ohm I'm looking for. Seem good choices to you lovely lot? I like to think I've made progress

striker42 - having a look round YT at the Plato now, but seems much like the Cupti and wondering if it wouldn't have the same issues....will watch a couple more vids.

I did the search and yes, it has put me off the Cupti *aagghh*. There are solutions given that seem to work for about ½ of the people complaining but to be honest it's more faff than I'm up for. What I want is, in no particular order (lol) - 1) Box mod, as you said djs so that I have independent/removable batteries 2) Top fill tank - really disliked filling from the bottom on the T3Ds - that doesn't leak (why I was so happy with finding the Cupti!), holds more than a couple ML of juice and is suitable for a MTL vaper 3) Adjustable airflow And this to fit together (tank not hanging over the box) and be nice looking because, as I said up top, I'm superficial like that Was hoping to have made a purchase by now, but I do want to get it right and not be disappointed when the new kit arrives. Will have to give it up for tonight as my head is thumping with too much info. Almost certain I'm over thinking it all, just sooo want to get it right!

I am really, really liking the Cupti and think I'll be clicking a buy button for one somewhere tonight. Any reasons not to, will I be horribly disappointed? I like that it is top fill, 'one piece', holds 5ml and is ok for MTL vapers but a definite step up from current kit...honestly not trying to be difficult. Just want to be sure there isn't something wrong with the choice.

No, I hadn't! What's with the squeeze bit, lol? I've not seen anything like that before Edit: watched a couple of vids on it and not keen on the coils just because they're so different to what I'm used to...thank you anyway, I learned something, lol.

There are various smaller mods around with built-in batteries, charged via USB, which would be suitable. Is battery life a factor? Obviously size equates to a larger battery which means more life between charges, but if this is lower on your list of priorities, then the iStick is a good palm-sized mod with a good life. I get about 9-10 hours out of my VSII batteries which are 1600, how that would compare to a different piece of kit I'm not sure but more time is always a big plus I am aiming for removable batteries so that I can have one or two spares at the ready all of the time. Pancser- no, no rebuilder here, lol I'm on a (the!) mission today, so will spend some time looking are your suggestions. I've seen a couple of the names around quite a bit, but just now I will leave you with the shortlist I had just finished completing before posting Don't know the shop, they just had loads on their site so I could find all of the ones I was interested in in one place, would probably purchase elsewhere. www.gosmokefree.co.uk/aspire-plato-starter-kit-free-delivery/www.gosmokefree.co.uk/aspire-mini-odyssey-kit-tc-inc-free-battery-free-delivery/www.gosmokefree.co.uk/aspire-archon-150w-tc-box-mod-free-shipping/www.gosmokefree.co.uk/kanger-cupti-75w-starter-kit-free-delivery/

Seeing as though my old school Kanger cartos are simply no longer available and at every turn (of a store's web page) I'm being shoved into buying something a bit more modern , I'm currently making a short list of the kit I like the looks of...because I'm superficial like that I want to get away from my 'pen style' kit (VSII with me cartos) and get something smaller, in size not power, and more box-like. I am definitely NOT a sub ohm vaper, happy with the little cloud my current kit creates and don't vape DTL. For me vaping is simply a substitute for the stinkies. Many, possibly all - don't know yet as I've not read through the specs for each - of the ones I'm adding to the shortlist have VW and TC. My VSII batts have a volt choice on the bottom which I run on the second setting consistently (3.8v). Can I go ahead and choose one of these VW/TC boxes, will they work for me if I'm not into sub ohm?

The one that you show in the photo (silver) is how these Boges are set up with the wire coming out of the 'filling' and then to the 'tube' in the centre. In the low resistance Kangers you couldn't see a wire at all. Jane, if you aren't sure if these are bottom coil I would happily pay for you to send one or two and then if the are bottom coil I'll buy the rest too. Would let you know about the rest within a day or two of receiving them

I really do appreciate the offer, its just that I'm afraid at least one of the reasons I don't like the Boges I have is due to the wire being parallel to the inner tub (hahahaha sooo tech). If Perpetua thinks these are what I'm looking for, I will certainly buy them from you.

Jane - what is a gripper? I just screw in the carto to the VSII add my tip and go, no idea what a gripper is. I don't even use the cone/cap thingy anymore, seems to work better for me without it. These are bottom coil? Sorry, can't believe my luck! I ask only because these Boge that I now have have a wire coming out of the 'filler' and into the centre bit and I think that is what my problem is (no idea on proper terminology!) and why I don't like them. Can you still buy these for when I run out? And if they're bottom coil, then yes please!
