We've been getting increasing problems of cracking tanks recently and on each occasion, I've asked the customer to let me know which liquids they are using. The same flavours keep coming up again and again. So, just a note to vendors to test the liquids they sell in tanks and if it cracks them - just put a warning up on their website. It's not hard to do and would save us all a lot of hassle.

Hi Jason, is it wrong of me to ask which flavours's? I'm getting a little worried now, I don't want to blow mine up which I recently purchased from you. To be on the safe side and not to worry myself, when you say "Tank" is that the Tank which comes with your (sold out) Riva kit? newbie question

No need to panic Dream, it is only a small minority of liquids.
The point I'm trying to get across is that it takes literally 30 seconds to fill a Vision, Vivi, DC Tank etc, with a new flavour.
That way a vendor can establish whether it causes problems with any particular tank and add a warning on their site.
To not do this, is irresponsible IMO.

There was a post on UKV which people were adding to as they found liquids that were affecting their tanks. From my recollection there were quite a few. I agree that vendors should supply this information but for those that already have liquids would it not make sense to compile a list here.
I also assume you are suggesting something like the C9V website info Jason ? as below
"Polycarbonate problems
It is known that some e-liquid ingredients can cause cracking or even melting of polycarbonate, plastic or acrylic tanks and tubes.
The following ingredients and juices are known ones to avoid if you have experienced these types of issues but this is not an exhaustive list, if you have a juice that has caused your tank to frost up or crack, please let us know and we will add it to the list and do what we can to replace your tank also.
Citrus acid Clove oil Orange oil Sour flavors Malic acid Any e-liquid contining essential oils (best to avoid vaping these anyway) E-liquids containing triacetin Some cinnamon type flavours Some cola juices and flavourings Wintergreen juice or flavoring C9V Absinthe flavour concentrate C9V Maraschino cherry flavour concentrate C9V Cinnamon Danish flavour concentrate C9V Citrus Mix flavour concentrate C9V Spearmint flavour concentrate TPA Cinnamon Danish flavouring TPA cherry blossom flavoring TPA Maraschino cherry flavouring TPA Mountain Dew flavouring TPA root beer flavoring TPA Spearmint flavouring TPA Vanilla Custard flavoring"

So, I guess the ones which do "do it" we should only use in cartomisers?

Yes, to be on the safe side Dream, or use something with a metal tank, like the Vivi Nova where you can get them as an option.
That's what I do with these flavours as I'm a great fan of a number of the TPA ' crackers '.

Bear with me Dream . . . Blakey has posted a picture of what the Vivi Nova looks like atop a Riva/Ego battery, I'll just go and get it.

Here it is Dream . . . you'll want a Type A plinth, just to tidy up the appearance on a Riva/Ego battery.

If you're having a Vivi Nova, I'd say the Type A looks better Annie, it's a couple of mm wider than the Vivi Tank base . . . but with the Type B, you'll have a bit of tank overhang. It's either or really, but to my eyes the Type B looks better with something like a 3ml DCT.
