If anyone has any questions, or needs anything clarifying about the new rules on the Vendors Board, please ask on this thread.

Hi Chrissie, Its a good idea , a special offer thread and a support thread for your products, and should cut down on search time for all users. Just a quick question tho, I have a new high street vaping supply shop opening very shortly, would that warrant a thread of its own or do i need to stick with the 2 thread rule? Regards John

Regards John Apologies for delay in replying Digi. I'm glad you think it's a good idea. We had to do something as some vendors were constantly starting new threads about every one of their products/promotions & it was so unfair on the more considerate vendors. I'm in discussion with the moderators about your issue & will get back to you later with an answer. At the moment the problem I can think of is that if we allow 3 threads, the next request will be for 4 threads etc, etc..... Jason, sorry about the stars going - we just couldn't decide how many stars you all deserved, so a bit like you taking Griz's candle away, we decided on no stars But instead, you are now all bright green & shine out as vendors

I would never take Griz's candle away Chrissie, that would be just mean. The guy needs to keep warm. On the subject of thread limits though, I do think 3 would be a better number. Stock updates and latest offers are sort of essential threads that would remain constantly and then you would have a spare one for announcing a latest product that could be missed in the other threads because they are XXX pages long. Just my thoughts though

just a thought ...i like the idea of having less threads... its easier to keep track on your favourite vendors that way ...all the info in one place ...not that i dont understand others points

I really like this idea of less threads, it was getting confusing to keep up with them. However I'm still seeing new threads popping up so I don't know that all vendors are sticking to it

Jason, we are discussing in the staff room as to whether 3 threads would be OK. However, the more threads we allow, the harder it will be to moderate the board to make sure vendors are sticking to the rules.
Ellen, or anyone else, you can click on report if you think a vendor isn't complying with the rules. By doing so, it would help the forum staff a lot & all that would happen is that the vendors threads would either be merged or one of their threads moved to vendors archive sub-board.

I suppose the handiest way to be able to create new threads whenever needed would be to have the vendors choose which of the 2 current threads they would like archived, have them make a post in it "please archive this thread" and proceed on to create their new thread. That way when a mod would spot a new thread from a vendor, they would know to check the other 2 threads right away. Just a thought John

that would work John or you could as Chrissie mentioned above hit the report button and alert us that way... we will then get an instant notification and help save us checking the threads
