Mine arrive today.
This has to be the best delivery system I've tried and I've tried loads.
Easy to fill and great taste from the first drag.
My RY4 never tasted so good.
Steve.

Feeling a bit gutted today now. This has been vaping really well until this morning and I thought I had found the perfect solution. No more needles, leaky clearomizers or breaking in attys. I had topped it up and started using it, then after about four vapes it just died. Tested it with the multimeter and that confirmed it was blown I expect it was just a bad one as they should really last longer than two days. It does however show a real limitation with these. I know they all blow after a time, but if you have just filled it up when it happens you could end up chucking quite a bit of liquid out with it each time. At the price these are I would be happy to replace it every two or three days. It would certainly make a large dent in my juice stock though after a short period of time. Going to give the smaller versions a try. This was my first time using a dual core and I'm sure I will stick with them in future if the smaller once can match the flavour of these mega ones.

I like them. And the draw doesn't seem to stiffen up like the normals.
Folks should know they are particular about connectors though.

Lousy luck, Steve - they should certainly last longer than that! Hope you were right and it was just the luck of the draw. Would it be worth dismantling and squeezing out the juice from the filler of one as big as this? Take your point, that's too much liquid to lose. I haven't had ANY of the smaller ones (about 1.6ml?) blow on me, they scorch the little diapers wrapped around the coils after a while which tastes yuk and that's why mine have got retired. Although they don't look so pretty at times, the clear ones seem to be best for keeping an eye on what's going on with them. I've heard of people keeping the smaller ones going for weeks, though I'm darned if I know how they do it! ??? Just curious - could Ben let us know: are these monster DC's also made by SmokTech, same as the smaller ones or are the other manufacturers jumping on the dual coil bandwagon now? ???

They are made by Smoktech Their products do seem to be pretty reliable as well.

I run them at a modest ~3.6V. And even though I try to keep them wet this has also happened twice. The hole is in the filler, not the plastic.

Ben was really good and offered to replace it for me.
I've no doubt I will use these again if there are no similar cases of them blowing during such a short time period.

I reckon those 'gaps' in the filler must be from when you get a particularly big fizz/pop from them - they can be quite noisy, sometimes, can't they! I did see a theory over on ECF that it is from the liquid heating so much that it more or less 'explodes' and that's what causes it.
I haven't had this happen myself, but if it did might well think that unwrapping/rewrapping might be in order to ensure you don't have a 'gap' in the liquid supply system which could allow one area of the coil to overheat and maybe become more vulnerable to blowing.
Great photo, by the way! Really illustrates what you meant extremely well.

Thanks. The beauty of the clears is that you can get a real understanding of how cartos work. Here's one filled by top loading only. I let is sit a day and vaped it for a few minutes. The air pocket never went away, I had to syringe it. With the Jumbo eGo DC the filler seems a little less dense, there is almost a gap between it and the shell. This is a good thing I believe.

...and another of those great photos!
I've always used syringes for the first fill on these - quite often for refills too, I like to be sure I'm getting as much in as possible. Certainly goes to show what I meant about being able to see what's going on with the clear ones, with an opaque casing you'd never have known about that gap.

As Jason pointed out, yes there Smoktech They should not pop in a couple of days so if they do email/phone me But please take into consideration, one re-fill on these is the same as 2 - 3 refills on a standard dual coil. So although it may seem like they have not lasted as long, they probably have.
