Evenings!

Fabulous and fantastic time . . . don't know where to start really, as there was just so much going on!

Brilliant to meet so many of our lovely Members in real life, an awesome job done by Wayne . . . he reckons 800 - 1,000 peeps attended!

As always, massive thanks to all the Vendors who support Vapefest so very generously.

Have taken some piccies, will get them uploaded & posted tomorrow now . . . Jem has taken lots as well, so she'll get them on the forum Monday( ish ) when she's back home.

Special thanks go to Des, for not only taking on the task of chauffeuring me there & back . . . but also keeping the updates rolling, until some more putery savvy Members arrived as reinforcements.

It was a joy to meet so many of you, I'm only sorry to not have had enough time to get round to chat properly to everyone.

or possibly the lack of oxygen when des put the tape over you mouth for the journey back

As a Vapefest virgin i was expecting more

I see that a few stalls never showed (well you get that anywhere) the stalls that was there ether to crowded to get to or had nothing there that was of great interest..... Where was the New products the unusual products? where was the discounts? where was anything to make each retailer stand out from the next?

Well thats if you could get around in the first place Tables filled the middle of the marque making walkways almost impossible to find without tripping over another vaper.

WiFi ? what WiFi ? as you all no "Free WiFi" was advertised well i never found it guess it was hiding just down the street out of range.

we was all advised to arrive early due to possible parking issues so we arrived around 9am to find the carpark to find it empty that was good we was able to park doors open at 10 to find us filtering at 9am told via the site we would have to sign in ...... WHERE?...... that being the case who was keeping tabs on the raffle tickets to ensure that we all had only 5 each ?

Prize bags for the raffle...... well before i start here I would like to thank ALL the retailers for donating prizes....... anyway back to where is was giving out bags full of stuff what was this for to cut down on the tickets you had to pull or was it some of the prizes you felt would not be liked? yes i agree there was a few not so good stuff in the bags but still did it warrant bagging it all with good stuff to try and get rid of it?

Did i enjoy today? Yes I enjoyed meeting some fantastic people today but did i enjoy vapefest........NO........ there was nothing there to make you go WoW I feel it was a real letdown will I go next year well I think lessons need to be learned first"

Ouch Oneday . . . that poster from elsewhere has brought me back down to earth with a bump.

All I can say, is that Wayne makes a massive commitment of his time to organising this event, absolutely massive for our benefit. . . it's very much a learning curve I'd imagine with the Vapefest, as it's gone from being a get together of a 100 vapers to probably a 1,000 in 3 short years.

I'm sure he'd welcome any constructive suggestions as to how it could be progressed . . . but at least let the ink dry on this event and give the poor bloke a chance to recover. He has worked his socks off.

For me the sun shone from start to finish on my lovely 2012 Vapefest outing.
