O rings

Anyone know where to get an O ring that will fit the top cap of the penelope? Can't seem to get rid of the smell of vanilla custard from it lol!

There is a set of O rings for the Ody Benny . . . though Cam's out of stock right now.

If you've a pound shop/B&Q/Halfords they all do mixed sets of O rings . . . alrhough Halfords also do certain sizes in a single pack, so they could be worth checking.

There are also sellers on Ebay . . . have you tried leaving the ring to soak overnight in a mild soapy water?

AS Perps says, give yer ring a good soak and it should be ok But the mixed pack of 0'rings will come in handy no doubt.

Cheers Perpy. Was thinking of leaving it to soak overnight, but wondered if it would cause any issues with swelling or ruining it. I'll try halfords and B%Q though. Cheers.

Ought to be fine Benny, the O rings we use in our gear should be to ' plumbing ' standards, so able to stand immersion in water, just not boiling hot stuff . . . if you've any bicarb of soda, you could also use a mild solution of that to soak it in.

Vinegar or lemon juice will also get rid of the taint, just rinse very well afterwards.

Just a thought, never had a problem with vinegar causing issues with rubber o-rings or seals - (can be used to combat lime scale and stuff) - but go easy with it
