(((Lolli))) lilac is right on both scores. You can't edit the comments you have made in the Times. And secondly it does sound like your keyboard has somehow or other been changed to an American layout.
I'll try & have a look in my control panel to see if I can find out how you can reset it. I'm guessing it will be through device manager?

OK Lolli, you need to click on start, then control panel, then "clock languages & region.
Next click on "change keyboard or other input methods"
The next box that comes up, click on the "change keyboards" button On the next box you should have a drop down bar saying "English (united Kingdom) English" If it's not showing as the default click to see if it's in the dropdown menu. If it is, click on it, then click on apply & then click on OK.
If that isn't either set as default or in the drop down menu, then shout.

You folks are great, thanks for making a fuss on that letter.
I know it's not a great article to respond to but it's about harm reduction and the irrational support for NRT. This is the best chance we've had so far to get the British press to see that we're here.
A bit of controversy isn't a bad thing in media terms, completely sympathetic responses don't generate strength of emotion and opinion so it's more interesting to the media if there are detractors too.
I can't log in again to respond myself or I would have done by now. I've written to the tech support at the Times to see if I can be allowed back into my account. Sorry if it looks like I've deserted the discussion but if I can get a chance I'll be back in there.

Hi Kate Anyone any idea why my posts on there are being duplicated? the last one, for instance, if you look at the times on them, the post was originally done at 5.18, then another one appeared at 5.39 ???

Kate, the last comment I made was mainly pointing out that the pro e-ciggers weren't off topic due to the fact we were talking about harm reduction as mentioned in the letter. I still can not fathom why that comment of mine didn't get past the moderators Lilac, I honestly haven't got a clue why your posts are doubling up The only thing I have worked out is that comments aren't instantly posted as they have to be moderated first. From Kate's post in here, it does look like there are some techie probs on the site Hmmmm "Times" have changed - excuse the pun!

Let's see if this is posted : Brenda Orsler, the "above posters" commenting on e-cigarettes,are far from being idiots or stupid as you state. Everyone that mentions e-cigarettes is on topic. please re-read Dr Patrick Basham's final paragraph concerning harm reduction.
"There are still several million British adults who continue to smoke and it’s to this group that harm-reduction products should be directed. Such reduction is, therefore, a legitimate extension of earlier initiatives to reduce the health burden of smoking."
So wish I had C&P'd what I had posted yesterday evening as I know it was better worded than my latest contribution

Maybe similar problems prevented my last effort being published. I just assumed the number of letters per person/per day was limited. I've just posted another one of my ramblings so we shall see. I've noticed that many online news comments are duplicated so it's likely just a glitch on the system. It's a pity moderators don't follow up on what they moderate really but i guess they're busy people. Fox

Yep, mine has been posted this time Lilac. I was also going to have a go at Arthur Nowr but decide to keep it short in case it took more than half an hour for my comment to be posted Nice one Kate Hope that both yours & Foxy's posts show up.

Nothing as yet from kate or me so perhaps Mr. Moderator has taken timeout to order himself an e-cig. Fox
