broken riva!

Hi I bought a riva starter kit about a month ago, but one of the batteries appears to be broken all ready? IS this the sort of life span I should expect?

BAsically the blue light comes on and it charges fine but it doesn't power any of my ego v3's or cartomisers. I've lifted the centre pin up a bit as I know this was my problem last time but to on avail

ANy quick fixes or is it really deaded???

Still sounds like the centre pin Ratz. How much of a 'bit' did you lift it?

As oneday suggests you can lift the centre pin quite a bit , just keep teasing it up , and when you screw a carto/vision in place don't be so heavy handed

seriously once you can feel the contact on the centre pin you don't need to screw down any more

Have lifted it a lot - taking up most of the space in the dip maybe I'm screwing too hard will try to be gentler.

Err on gently lifting it that time the centre pin popped right out - am guessing that's not meant to happen!\ ???

Oops .... no that's atad too far. If it still has the wire attached it can be re-inserted though

I killed one of mine last week using the wrong charger. Now it lights up for 3 seconds then flashes 3 times, I suspect I fried the board so my fingers are crossed for you

Ratfinkz, DON'T BIN IT, it can be repaired, when Macca comes back off his hols, if you ask hine nicely he'll do it for you. TBH I could do it but I've got one of mine here that needs the same repair, but i've just not got round to doing it

That's very kind oneday I'd be happy to pay for it if you suggest a price. And will remember it can be fixed too and ask macca when he gets home as it'd be good to have a spare third one in case this happens again!!!

Same happened to one of my batteries. Returned it to Jason at VE and he said it was faulty and very kindly sent me two new ones
