Question about a cartridge

Hi All, i used a brand new cartridge Saturday night, filled with juice (cherry), and only used Saturday night, i went to top it up last night so i could bring it to work, i just filled with a few drops at a time and all this brown liquid came out the bottom, should i throw the cartridge away, i have only used it once for a few hours ?

Hi Shelley, when you say cartridge, do you mean cartomizer (tank type) or cartomizer tube type?

It sounds like you have either over filled the cartridge or are filling It too quickly.

Whilst you are filling the cartomizer, pour the drops so that they run down the inside of the cartomizer (the wall), have you taken the rubber bung out of the top?, if you look down the cartomizer you will see a thin tube and this runs all the way through the cartomizer, if the liquid gets in her it will drop through ( keep a tissue handy ). The material inside the tube is what you are interested in soaking whilst keeping liquid out of the centre tube, apply drops two at a time allowing a few seconds for it to soak in to the filler material, when you see the liquid just 'floating' at the top of the material it is full. If you have put too much in don't worry as this can be blown through ( onto a tissue ). Check out this video on YouTube:

Yes i have added drops a few at a time and onto the wadding avoiding the central hole, my concern is the liquid coming out the bottom is brown and the juice i am using is clear

I'm not sure if it's the same juice you are using? Or a new juice? But even if it's the same juice don't worry as most juices turn brown after a few days 'steeping' or 'maturing', all juices taste better when they have been allowed to 'steep or mature'

ahh ok, thats why then, the juice is the same juice but there was prob still some in there from saturday night when i originally filled it up, thanks

Also Shelly the carto works by heating the juice to the point where it vapourises. Many juices contain sweeteners and flavourings which turn brown or even caramelise on the hot coil. It's this that you've seen drip out, and definitely nothing to worry about.

no worries, here to help if I can, I'm surprised you have found a cherry liquid that you like, lots don't. It does mix well with a few drops of menthol but I don't think you are doing DIY juices yet.

I love the cherry, i am not keen on the tobacco flavours, i suppose because i cant find one that tastes like the real thing, i am not keen on menthol either, i am vaping cherry and grape, i have ordered some more fruity flavours so i am looking forward to trying them. i have not tried mixing the juices yet, but i might try to

Mixing DIY or even mixing premade juices adds to all the fun for me, I tend to stick to flavours that I know work together, banana and toffee or I once did a banana raspberry and cherry which turned out really good, if you're gonna think about it get yourself an atomiser to drip into, avoids wasting a cartomizer on the bad tastes.

I would recommend "fruits of the forest" Or was it forest fruits. or "blue Hawaiian", two of my faves when I was in my fruit phase
