so yeah, my lavatubes gone dodgy. had it one month. earlier today the screen started flashing, even though the battery was freshly charged. so i thought it might be the battery. but same happened with the other one. i did that 7 click thing to find out the remaining voltage and it says 2.8 with both charged batteries. whatever i use on it, it only allows me one puff, then it flashes again and shut down.
i'll email the guy from myfreedomvapes about it, but first, i just want to check with you guys if i'm missing something...
hope someone can help.
cheers.

Is your battery charger working properly booblay? Check the batteries with a multimeter if you haven't all ready.

I'm pretty sure that's a short. Try something else on top of it. Give the threads a clean as well and see if that works.

If there's a daed short the screen has the word "Lo" on the screen. So I don't think it's that. You really need to check that your batteries are properly charged with a multimeter or another device that takes the same batteries. If the lavatube was totally FUBAR'D then the voltmeter part would not work. What charger do you have? Could you try someone elses batteries or charger? Another thing it could be is dirty battery contacts on the batteries or Lavatube, use a torch or bright light to shine down the lavatube to see if the contact's clean, if it isn't you could gently scrape it with the end of a screwdriver or wrap some alcohol soaked cotton wool round the end to try and clean it. make sure the spring in the battery end cap is also seated nicely. Try that.

Shouldn't a charged battery read 4.1 on the LT?

Shouldn't a charged battery read 4.1 on the LT? Yes and that's what leads me to think the charger is faulty, or a bad contact for some reason. The red screen flashing is the sign of a low battery. Which lavatube is it, the full size or mini, the V2(+ ) with the little battery symbol in the display?

All signs point to batteries or the charger rather than the device. Even a bad battery will show 4.1-4.2 volts open circuit voltage fresh off a charger, but will be unable to supply the load and will go straight to low voltage.
Use a known good battery and try..

it's a full LT. Got a new battery in the post this morning, a good AW one, and same thing happens. Also, the charger is charging up my smaller Argento mini battery....as is my spare charger... it all points to the device

Just out of interest, does the voltage drop to 2.8 on the new AW too? Have you the means to verify this with a multimeter?
