Jumping up and down on clearomisers

I recently tested out the strength of the CE series clearo casing!

I needed a part for another clearo, so I used the casing of an old duff one I had to replace the bit I needed!

Then seeing as I couldn't use it anymore I thought I'd test it's durability!

We've all dropped our e cig on a hard floor and thought arghhhhhh it'll break/crack....well they're not as delicate as they look! This has has been an interesting experiment!

First I dropped it really hard on a stone floor, it was fine - then I stood on it without shoes, then in heels, then heavy boots and with no damage at all - finally I stamped really hard on it in sturdy wedges....

Guess what? no shattering or cracking at all! So I came to the conclusion you would probably have to hit it with a hammer or drive a truck over it to smash it!


Only Royal Mail putting it through a franking machine could smash it in the post, so don't worry folks they must be made like army tanks despite looking very elegant and delicate. Can't speak for them coming apart and losing your juice or leaking and getting gobfuls of juice though.

But all in all, what an entertaining evening I had !

Now what shall I do next? tee hee

They're made of blinkin' strong stuff. I used to think they were glass, but they must be like those shatterproof windows!

They're made of polycarbonate. The funny thing is, certain juice flavours will crack them and shatter them into pieces

How weird is that!!!

Wonders what they put in the juices..... makes you think!

Polycarbonate of a few millimetre in thickness can withstand high explosives in close contact, but some juices will degrade it over time, everything has weak point to some degree.

I've got one that has had absinthe e liquid in it for 6 weeks it has 1 small crack in it about 3mm long near the base but no leaks. Dave

When they 1st came out, they cracked with the merest of knocks.

We were all gluing em, rolling the carto condoms on, selotaping em, allsorts to make em last until the atty died.

They are built out of better materials now though. Dont think the vendors are too impressed that weve turned cannier (is that a real word?) though.

I have found the coloured ones are far less likely to crack than the clear ones.
