Just a little update. The Ego turned up yesterday, along with the e-liquid I'd ordered. I managed to fill up a few cartomizers for her to test out (although it's hard work on the 5ml bottles I received - they're really tough to squeeze) My mum seems to like the tobacco more than the fruit/alcohol flavours, so I think we're going to stick with that type and order a larger bottle. They're too strong at 18mg though (I know the table recommended 16mg for her, but that was the closest mg they stocked in the sample sizes) so I'm going to try something around the 10-12mg mark. The dry throat is really bothering her (I've told her to drink a lot) and hopefully the lower nicotine level will help a bit with that. Thanks again

Fantastic news Jessiemae, it's always great when new stuff arrives. I wouldn't throw away any of your liquids, your mum may find that her tastes change as her taste buds come back to life and she might like the flavours / strength later on. If not you can always swap or sell them on the classified board See this thread for other people's percspectives on changing tastes

Some people find VG juices don't dry them up so much

It doesn't say unfortunately, so you might have to email the vendor to ask.
Some more advice:
If you're Mum used to be neurotic about running out of fags, she's probably going to be neurotic about running out of batteries or cartomisers. So, spares. And spares of spares.
With eliquid, your mum should know that with some brands you need to let them steep for a day or a few days to get the best flavour. Especially from places where they make the juice from scratch for each order. Steeping - leaving them alone in a dark place.
Juices used to dry my mouth out loads....but after a couple of months I found this stopped. Guess my body got used to it. But now I've switched to VG (PG was giving me problems) and I've got the dry mouth all over again. Dryer than ever now. But hopefully it'll pass. She needs LOTS of water. I also go through lots of chewing gum.
Another thing about juices: some are crap. Some are orgasmic. She really needs to shop around, try and try different flavours and brands before finding her nirvana.
Good luck to her, and thumbs up to you for helping her.

I can almost guarantee that anything sent with a starter kit will be standard resistance

Thanks, booblay board I didn't know about the steeping. She vaped all day yesterday (no real cigs at all) and although the dry mouth is still an issue, I think she's getting used to it. Like you said, lots of fluid. Yes, I made sure she had 4 filled cartomizers last night, which should be more than enough to last the day. She took two batteries, too. I'm going to order a load of cartomizers shortly as I know the ones she has now are going to need chucking away pretty soon. In regards to the e-liquid, I think I'm going to keep ordering her sample bottles so she can test stuff out alongside the tobacco flavour she's using now. I can almost guarantee that anything sent with a starter kit will be standard resistance Cheers! I thought it would probably be standard, but the page doesn't say anything

Sounds like your mum is doing really well Jessie #icon_thumbsup#
Out of interest, when you say the juice is too strong for her, is that because it's making her cough or because she is getting too much of a head rush from the nicotine?

Thanks Chrissie I think it's the head rush - she's not actually experienced any coughing yet. I guess she may eventually though as I know her lungs will try to clear themselves.
