This may have been covered before, but one of the main problems I had when I upgraded from a basic 510 e cig to an ego t type was that I could never put it down. I had no idea how much I was vaping in a day, but the thing was rarely out of my hand and mouth lol. I recently bought a VV battery. One of the great advantages of these is that you can fine tune the voltage to suit taste and vapour amount. I also often feel like a "one-off" vape of grape or apple or whatever. Rather than have to empty things in order to have a quick fix of Capuccino flavour I have found doing it the following way to be much handier. Get a 510 atomizer/cartridge and take out the cart so that all you have is the atomizer and the cover which you actually vape through. Drip 3 or 4 drops out of the flavour you want onto the atomizer and vape away on that till you think it is just about done. Dont vape until it dries up completely. The battery I have allows you to adjust the voltage in .1V steps. I have tested it on a meter and it is accurate, certainly with this battery anyway. Starting off at 3V which will probably give you great taste, but not enough vapour (personal choice). Now just keep adjusting the battery up until you get the balance just right for YOU. For me the voltage is either 3.4V or 3.5V. Vaping this way has other advantages as well, you can actually be pretty sure how much you are vaping if you keep a check on it. I find that for me, 3 or 4 drops on the atomizer roughly equates to one cigarette in time and puffs. So now I have a better idea of how much nicotine I am taking in daily and can regulate it fairly accurately. I can also change flavours every vape if I want to. After the first few vapes of the new flavour, the flavour stabilizes if there was another flavour there before. It`s all pretty obvious I suppose, but if you are fairly new to vaping as I am, it may help you. For your INFO, the atomizer I am using here is 2.9ohms so the current drawn from the battery with this example is 3.4/2-9 which is just over 1Amp. You can always work out what your atomizer is drawing from the battery this way, it is VOLTAGE/RESISTANCE. Taking it a step further this means that the POWER CONSUMED is CURRENT DRAWN X VOLTAGE which in this case is approx 3.5 watts. You can also see that if you have a 1.5 ohm atomizer and you are applying 6V from the battery, it will be drawing 4 amps (VOLTAGE/RESISTANCE), and the power consumed will be 24 WATTS (VOLTS x AMPS) and it will be working so hard lolol. The battery would need charging many more times for the same number of puffs with this arrangement. I would imagine that the battery or the integrated circuit in the battery case will not put up with that for very long. So, that is worth bearing in mind if you are using a VV battery. It would get pretty warm as well (not recommended) Another way to get more vapour would be to go to Boots and get yourself a bottle of Vegetable Glycerine and add 10% of the volume in the juice bottle, or even 5% would make a difference. VEGETABLE GLYCERINE produces a lot more vapour that PG. It is only about £1-50 for 100ml. Doing it that way means you would be getting more puffs from your battery every time because you wouldnt need to bump the voltage up. You make not like the creamier kind of taste from the new mix or the slightly reduced flavour level. I do it and it doesnt really make much difference to the taste, but you get more vapour. That is assuming of course that the e-liquid is not totally VG based. Normally that isn`t the case. A WORD OF WARNING ABOUT VV BATTERIES. IF YOU PUT 6V ACROSS A 1.5 OHM ATOMIZER, THERE IS A VERY GOOD CHANCE THAT YOU WILL BLOW IT OR THE BATTERY INTEGRATED CIRCUIT. DONT DO IT!!! LOLAttachments:

That 'fine tuning is exactly what VV is intended for, along with the ability to get the same taste and throat hit from different resistance atomisers. It opens up a whole new world of vaping as you're discovering. Nice post

Water Melon was one of the first flavoured e liquid I got, but it never tasted right, always seemed a bit burnt. Just tried it with this setup at 3.4V, such a difference, delicious!!!

Thanks Rob, you're a mine of interesting information and as a fairly "Newbie" you certainly seem to have sussed out the facts first hand! I guess you have to to understand what ppl are talking about on here and it can be daunting sometimes
Experimentation is the key!

Yes, you are right Jules, but you can be assured the electrical stuff is accurate, I am an electronics engineer so I do know about the formulae involved, you can trust that stuff. Thanks for your input
