Private Message error

I keep getting this message when trying to send a PM

error calling pre_pmsend2 -- Can't call method "auth" on an undefined value at /usr/local/PBV4.5/modules-new/sendemail.pl line 28.


Tried on a couple of different browsers but the error still appears right after i click 'send personal message'. Any ideas?

Is it just the one member you mentioned in your PM that you are having problems PMing?

Do you have your settings for PM notifications set to email notifactions? If so, try changing your PM preferences to "alert box" notification.

Well, so far ive only sent pm's to you and Blakey Sometimes it goes through fine then other times i get the error message and have to hit back page then refresh and try again........ strange ???

Has it ever happened when trying to PM me, or just Blakey?

There has been a Proboard glitch that causes that error occasionally when both sender & recipient of PM's have their preferences set for email notifications.

Ah, so it does appear to be something to do with that setting, but I can't find any way of solving it as it's not an issue with the coding on the forum as far as I can tell.

Blakey, would you mind changing your preferences to alert box & see if that solves Goofy's problem?
