I have just made up my first batch of 5 flavours. They have all been given 7 days to steep.
Now two of them are "nearly" there as far as flavours that I like, but they are just not quite to my taste.
I have tried mixing these 50/50 and that then hits the mark just right.
So now I want to make these two again but this time with the idea of blending them together 50/50.
Do I make them seperately, give them the 7 days steeping and only then blend them together, or do I blend them together immediately after making them and only then give them their steeping time?

Why not try both methods and see which works out best. Sometimes bulk steeping seems to work better.

I wouldn't be "bulk steeping" as I will still be just mixing up the usual 10ml no matter which I do. These are still experiments and I don't want to waste too much by getting it wrong. Indeed I am even going to cut down the mg level as I don't need strong nic levels when I am just testing juices. Once I am 100% sure of a mix, then I will go for as bigger amount and at my mg level.

Well, if you had been a bit clearer in you initial post, I wasn't aware that you only mix 10ml.
Only trying to help, no need to be so hostile.
BTW. mg level can sometimes alter flavours a bit.

A thousand apologies. I was not aware that I sounded hostile and I certainly did not mean to be. I do thank you for your advice.

I see alot of recipes online where recommendations are made to make up two separate mixes before combining them eg Choc as a mix, lime as a mix, wait a week, choc lime mix, (that wasnt the mix but you get my drift, I can see lots of benefits this way, particularly if an ingredient is particularly acidic and might affect the other flavors straight away but not after some time. Love the working out of it all tbh. quite sad.

Thanks Skwoddy. I wondered about that because the ones I have made have certainly changed quite a bit over the week. The ones I want to mix are Royals by F'Art with Golden Leaves by EliquidLabs. The fact that they are made by two different companies made me wary of mixing them straight off.
Maybe I should try mixing them with other flavours too, like Menthol and/or F'Art's Golden Leaves and see what I get with these combinations.
So many choices. So few empty bottles!!!!

The great thing about it is, as it's so cheap to mix, it's great to experiment. I've made mixes with no nic, just to see how flavours will combine (if I'm really not sure).
As you said, so many choices. It's good fun and a little sad how it takes over your life at times.
Lobey, I've not tried Eliquidlabs stuff yet, what are they like?

So far I have only tried their Golden Leaves (Golden Virginia), Menthol and Cappuccino. The Golden Leaves is the nearest I have ever tasted to the original Golden Virginia taste. However it is just a tad harsh for my tastes and so the idea is to mix it with the more flowery taste of thr Royals flavouring from F'Art. The Menthol has a very mild tobacco taste but leaves a powerful Menthol aftertaste in your mouth. Not unpleasant but not a patch on the strong Menthol taste that I am used to with my Jacvapour, made up Menthol which I prefer. The Cappuccino is rather bitter. If it were a cup of coffee, I would add sugar and because it is an e-juice, I am adding Ethyl Maltol. However I only started adding yesterday 0.5ml to 10ml and it has not made any difference so far. I will let this steep for a wee while before I see if it needs more added.
All of EliquidLab's flavours are strong in their own way, but all taste chemically to start with and do need at least one weeks steeping.

I might try the Golden Leaves, sounds quite good. If you want a nice coffee then Vip Vapors: www.vipvaporcig.com/Have a nice one, their honeywood tobacco is also nice. Perps put me onto them a while ago, although in the USA, their postage is reasonable and quite quick delivery as as well. In fact I'll put a post in the Mixing tips thread about a mix I made with some of their stuff.

Most of the tobaccos that I have tried have either an American or Vanilla or Flowery taste and there are very little British Tobacco tastes. The one that comes closest to the Mayfair fags I used to smoke is Royals by Paradise Vape. paradisevapeuk.vstore.ca/product_info.php/pName/royals/cName/ejuice-tobacco-flavour/osCsid=9f16522cbfb3b028de211c1caf1e99f2This is even better than the one they sell which is named Mayfair. It is this Royals taste that I am trying to replicate, but if I don't manage it, I will just continue to buy the made up stuff and experiment with other flavours. Royals is my "all day vape" of preference.

Why not try mixing 2 zero nic versions to see how it comes out? I know it wont be 100% accurate but should tell you if you need the 7 day interval during mixing. if they're both rubbish you've only lost around 4ml of flavouring, if it works, you've saved yourself a week every time you mix it in future.
P.S It's the first time I've had chance to say this, but I love your name and icon. Have you read any Chistopher Brookmyre as there's a book where lobey dosser features quite heavily in it. If you're interested PM me and I'll look out the title.

Thanks for the heads up on Eliquidlabs. Got some Golden Leaves & Silver (LnB). Made up 10ml of the Silver, nuked it a couple of times to aid the steeping process. Not bad at all, will leave now for a few days before trying again.

I have just finished steeping the Royals (flavouring) from F'Art and it is pretty dammed close to the made up Royals from Paradise Vape. I mix at 24mg and it is PG only whereas the PV one is 50/50 PG/VG but apart from the vapour, I am well pleased with it. I will mix another batch tonight and add some VG.
