Sounds a bit like a Ladybird book title... Anyway, I seem to have reached the next stop on the vaping bus ride. I've been very happy with my vision clearos, until today. I blame the fact that I read a thread about which juices crack clearos only this morning, and now this afternoon I've found that I have one of them. It's a juice I like a lot, so I think I may need a plan B. I was thinking that probably some Boge cartos would be the logical way to go. So now I have a couple of questions. Every time I read about "resistance" up to now, I stuck my fingers in my ears and went "Lalalalalalala" but now I find I might need to know more. Do I need low resistance with an Ego Twist, or normal? And do I need to buy a drip tip as well, or can I recycle the end of my now-deceased clearo? I was so hoping not to have to buy any more stuff for a little while, but it seems I may have to..

If you prefer tanks, alot do, because carts can mute flavours, why not get a vivi nova with a steel tank spare that you can swap when you have a fruit juice (usual suspect)
If you do want to go to carts (they are handy things to keep for tank failures), go for standard resistance as some batteries cant provide enough 'oomph' for the low resistance carts, Standard Res would be 2.4 - 2.8 ohm
If your drip tip is the screw in type then youre gonna need a regular drip tip, suggest Delrin (plastic) for less condensation and carts can get quite hot.

That's really helpful, thanks both. I can't really go too far wrong for six quid, can I?

That's a PITA, kickit, but let 'us' know how you get on with the Boges, as I'm still trying to make my mind up on getting some.

I prefer the draw from Boges but love the convenience with clearos. Boges (lovely as they are) got to be a pain as I found myself having to top them up every 2 hours which could be messy (I kept having to find a spare table and get the kitchen towel out). It depends on your usage though, if you're at home or at a desk a lot then that make not be an issue for you. Mini Novas sound like the next logical step for you (if you want to stay with clearos) the Novas are a bit bigger than a Vision V3 and the atomiser head can be replaced when you need to. The draw is as close to a carto as I've tried so far. As Skwoddy said you can get a metal body for the Mini Novas so you can avoid the cracking issue, although with a Twist you "should" get a plinth to tidy the look up and slightly vary the draw. To me the biggest benefit of having a plinth is that they don't get snagged so easily on things.

A quick tip that I have found to be true is that coloured tube the Ego Visions are much less prone to cracking than the clear ones.

Good point Des.
Also if its the rebuildable clearos, you can buy just a new tube, try a coloured one.
The vivi novas are a good alternative as firin and skwoddy have mentioned. The mini is a better choice with an ego battery though. Then get a metal outer which will be ok with any juice. The downside is, you cant see the juice in tank

I'm currently using the V5 clearos, which are also rebuildable and seem cheap compared to the vivi nova. They are all plain transparent ones. However, the cracked one is a V3 that came with my kit. I don't think that matters, though. Of course the vivi has the advantage of the metal sleeve... I think I'm going to give the Boges a whirl first, just to try the difference between them and the clearos. Even if I find they're not for me and I end up with the Vivi nova, I shall have some emergency cartos in stock! Thanks for all the advice, once again, people. You're a real help!

Good idea to try the cartos, and useful to have different back-ups.... She`s learning already

Ha! You are so right, Brian! I suspect PayPal probably reported me missing today as its the first day for ages that they haven't heard from me. However, I'm about to put their minds at rest over at PayPal HQ.. Can I advertise in the classifieds about taking in washing? At this rate, I'm going to need to!
