I would love it if there was more local vaping stores, more choice more competition, lower prices for everyone.
It's like, years ago, when tobacco smoking was popular, you had tobacconists on other street. Now they are a rare site, you might have 1 true tobacconist in every other city.
I see that eventually happening with vaping shops. (as in more and more popping up) I think they are fantastic, but I have to travel 30 miles at the moment before I find a non tw one (vape escape) I know I can order online, but theres nothing better than a bit of banter with someone who has tried and tested the products who can guide you exactly with what you need. Something which was lost with the original tobacconists when mainstream smoking came along and corner shops were the place to go.

Only 30 miles? You're spoiled, you are! AND you've got others closer than that! You're VERY spoiled!

It's very difficult as a vendor to cut even with a walk in Shop let alone make a decent profit, astronomical rents ( at least in a city), staff wages, the usual overheads, coming into a market that not enough people know about, and even those smokers that do know about it are either not interested or have been burned by merchandise that doesn't 'cut the mustard' and is ridiculously overpriced ( pre filled cartos etc).
Then they have to contend with the bane of every retailer that is 'online shopping' , fora such as this making recommendations. It's a very fine line to tread for the retailers, but such is human nature, some are just downright greedy ( one asked me for £27 for a vivi nova), now I don't have an issue with people making a profit and for the convenience Of not paying postage and waiting a day or two i would probably have paid upto £14 even with the knowledge I can get them for £8. The owner knew that I knew the ins and outs of vaping but because there were other customers in the shop watching me say things like 'rebuildable' 'tank' etc he had to take the piss.
What pisses me off most is vendors like that who frighten people away from vaping, when more than half of their potential customers are there to save money in the first place, without going into the health argument.
Sure, it's also great that currently we can command what we paid for an item, and indeed more fore your "pennies" "caravelas" etc, but now that china are getting pretty big on rebuildables etc, the Greeks and such are gonna have to rethink their pricing.
I've rambled on too much about this when people already understand it, names aside there will always be rogues, in any business.

I agree, I would rather go and see my local specialist ecig supplier, who is dedicated to ecigs, and their benefits, than buy an overpriced product from a local corner shop. Not only do I get good products at good prices, but I get to have a chat with another like minded vaper, who knows what they're talking about too.
