I still have my very first original e-cig that I bought in July 2008 from a certain Mr. Jason Cropper (Jason Miles Alexander Cropper) on eBay (you could do that then), who advised me at the time that his web site www.theelectroniccigarette.co.uk/ (which is now TECC.) went live on 01/06/2008.

Yes, it had a battery that lasted an hour if you were lucky, crap atomisers, and cartridges that held about 1/2 ml of juice.

Things have fortunately moved on a bit since then.

I still have 2 batteries and an atty from that time too, I had 2 brand new kits still but they them both away recently.
