I read the book written by a little boy's father about this intervention programme when I was a student nurse may moons ago - about 34 years!

From their own experience, they developed this method and I was always fascinated by it - it always made a deal of sense to me. If I recall correctly, they entered "his" world rather than forcing him to join theirs, which they knew he found too overwhelming, gained his confidence and things progressed from there.

As with all treatments/interventions, I don't believe it is a cure all, we are all too different, but one that always appealed to me.
